Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's experience in the 2016 Republican presidential primary was apparently enough to make him swear off ever running for political office again. While speaking Thursday at Texas A&M University, where he's spending two weeks teaching a course about governors, Bush admitted that he thinks 2016 was his best and only shot at making his presidential dreams a reality. "I unraveled everything I was doing to prepare for this you don't do that lightly," Bush said. "I just think this was my chance."
But Bush swears he's doing okay in spite of his loss. He's moved on from giving out tiny toy turtles, and has turned his focus back to his education policy foundation and consulting work. "The conditions of this election weren't tailormade for me and I lost," Bush said. "But I'm not in therapy. I'm not in the fetal position. Life goes on." Becca Stanek
Well she did get busted for trying to smuggle in stuff she bought overseas without declaring them.
Probably. I think that this over cautious deference to spouses because of past feelings about how conservative spouses is highly overrated. You can only turn the other cheek so much before you get tired of it. This media thing about connected and diverse families is PC crap, frankly.
Throughout the entirety of the Republican campaign I never ONCE got to see an interview or in-depth session with Jeb, and his wife Columba. Heck, even John Kerry got his wife out before the public to let us see.
I’m just not buying this “nice lady” thing. We know far to little about her.
Jeb is essentially selling textbooks and educational supplies to gullible school districts, right?
“The conditions of this election weren’t tailormade for me and I lost,”

What he means by this is that the GOPe had planned to have passed Rubio’s amnesty and taken that issue off the table for Yeb!’s run. They knew his love of all things Mexican would be a liability.
It was only my district Cantorizing our weasel that threw a monkey wrench into the plan.
Yeb! was supposed to be the Designated Loser and without the amnesty albatross around his neck, he might well have succeeded.
Trump jumping in blew all of that right out of the water.
He should add a line of coloring books and Play Doh.
Did someone ax?
He should be in therapy. Inbreeding caused mental issues in blue-blood pieces of shit.
He never had a chance before that, but that was a very revealing moment.
I have watched that a number of times, and my assessment of it was that Carson is a bit odd, humble and meek.
Trump is kind, gracious, considerate and polite.
And Jeb Bush as a total jerk and a complete ass.
I’m glad that Trump picked Ben for his cabinet, and I think that their friendship started right then and there.
Another question..
Does your daddy even remember who you are now?
Poor guy.
If you haven’t seen this take a look.
Less than 2 minutes.
Jeb is a uber driver.
Card carrying pathetic loser.
Please clap.
GW lost the first debate to Kerry pretty badly. But Laura at least evened the score for the night when she went over to speak with Theresa on stage.
Theresa was at the front of the stage and looking somewhat confused. She had her hand over her brow to shield her eyes from the lights and to scan the crowd. Then Laura walked up with a big smile, held out her hand, and really started to converse with Theresa. Theresa looked very relieved to see her and was smiling and talking back. The networks didn’t like the looks of that so they cut away to a wide shot. GW and Kerry were shaking hands and talking in a rather perfunctory way just outside of the spotlight. But Laura and Theresa were well-lit, center-stage and talking animatedly like old friends. But it was clear Laura was the lady who initiated and invigorated the friendly chat between them. She had the closing moments under her control and, if that’s all you saw of the debate, you’d swear that Bush had won.
Like those shots of Melania entertaining the Cruz kids.
It's surprising Mitch McConnell didn't try that.
"Jeb Bush, the 'joyful tortoise,' gives out tiny toy turtles on trail"
Slow and steady wins the race.
Except when it doesn't.
But you should be.

Now we know it was one establishment wife talking to another establishment wife. Why wouldn’t they be comfortable?
Just as well therapy is not able to help everyone and the Bushes are a long line of those that fit that bill. Liars, narcissists and more the lot of them.
“Two words for Jeb: Terri Schaivo.”
You bet! That’s when my very neutral opinion of Jeb turned into pure disgust. He deserves no pity or kind thoughts.
