Mark Levin: Time Patriots Stand Our Ground In Defense Of Donald Trump
Rick Wells ^ | 01/12/17 | Rick Wells

Posted on 01/12/2017 7:39:25 AM PST by Enlightened1

Mark Levin wants to once and for all put the difficult election behind the American patriots, be they Republican or of other persuasions, avid Trump supporters or reluctant, whole-hearted or less so. He says, “It is time. It is time that we stand our ground in defending Donald Trump’s legitimacy and the fact that he is the President-elect and to become the president.”

Levin, who it’s better to have arriving late to the party than out driving around lost in the wrong neighborhood, says, “Because I’m telling you right now and I’ve told you before, the media, the Praetorian Guard media, the Democrat Party, which puts party before country, academia and Hollywood, are seeking a coup of sorts. That’s exactly what they’re doing.”

He continues, “Standing up for Donald Trump in this regard. Not for every issue, not for every nominee, but standing up for Donald Trump is standing up for our Constitution, for the legitimacy of the election. We cannot allow the left and by the left I include the media, we cannot allow the left to decide who’s legitimate and who is not. And keep something in mind – they hate us too.”

Levin points out, “There would be no Jeff Sessions nomination if Hillary Clinton were the President-elect. There’d be no repeal of Obamacare, even an attempted repeal of Obamacare if Hillary Clinton had been elected. And I can go on down the line.”

“What they seek to do,” says Levin, “and they’ve done it even before the man is inaugurated, is to drive issues of controversy. I don’t mean controversy about specific matters, but the fact that he’s president, they want it to be controversial.

Ted Cruz' defense of Senator Sessions and his dismemberment of the Democrats on this Senate committee yesterday demonstrated once again his unmatched forensic skills and make clear that, far from going anywhere, Cruz is destined to emerge as one of the leaders of the Senate and a potential presidential candidate very soon.

I like what Ted has been doing in the Senate, and I like that Levin has finally come to his senses (mostly).

I hope Cruz becomes a Senate leader, not sure he will yet. I seriously doubt Cruz will become a serious candidate because he is neither telegenic, nor likable to most people. People do not vote for a debater in chief.

Skimming the thread, I totally understand the disrespect given Levin, he was a neverTrumper until Trump won, and he's still been a nitpicker over things Trump supposedly is doing.

I find the man who told us to vote for an orange juice can against Obama, yet not for Trump a bit insufferable, and a bit two faced.

I'll appreciate it if he actually unites behind Trump, but won't trust his pronouncements for a long while.

He, like you, earned a well deserved place in the corner. I've read his ratings have seriously fallen since his never Trump position. He's likely trying to regain them now.

Did Lyn’ Ted’s father deny knowing Oswald? Did he deny being in that picture? That was the issue, not that Lyn’t Ted’s dad had a hand in the assassination. Maybe he did, though. And as for infidelities, which Mrs. Cruz was on a rampage about, did Lyn’ Ted ever explain his curious $500K payment to Fiorina?

I engage in this conservative forum to exchange ideas not to enhance my personal comfort or, worse, to confirm my fixed opinions.

Exchange ideas?

You?

You were/are one of the biggest Trump vilifiers here still remaining.

One only needs to peruse through your postings earlier last year leading up to and including the elections to witness seethe and TDS up close and personal.

Oh, and for the record, Levin has metamorphosed into one of the larger douche bags around.

Churchill was just as much a natural born citizen as Cruz, an American on one’s mother’s side.
Why would Congress bestow HONORARY citizenship on a natural born citizen?

I used to listen. but increasingly his #nevertrump positions, and his screaming render it impossible to listen for more than a few minutes.

I did catch this broadcast. It came days after him, taking almost the opposite stand.

And screaming both times.

You give us a wonderful take on DJT & Levin. Thanks.

DJT has blown up the established political order and has the potential to severely damage the American Left. No other Republican candidate could have won the nomination, let alone enter officer free from special interests and political favors. Had Levin dropped his sword after the nomination was secure, I’d be on board with him. But as others have noted this effort is too late for me.

I was a Cruz guy for a while... but i got on the Trump train day one because of immigration.....and stay with Trump for one reason above all....he a politically incorrect Street Fighter that refuses to die

Agree. I was lukewarm Cruz, but never thought he'd get the nomination. If he had gotten the nomination, we'd be getting ready to deal with President Clinton. Cruz couldn't have flipped one state.

I got on the Trump Train when he refused to back down after Macy's and a couple of others called him a racist. Any other GOP candidate would have gone over in the corner and sucked their thumbs. Also, no one else would talk about illegal immigration or bad trade deals until Trump broke the ice and forced them to adopt these positions.

Speaking of credibility, did Donald Trump retain his credibility with you when he insinuated that Ted Cruz' father participated in the assassination of John F. Kennedy?

That "insinuation" was likely intended for a sole purpose: to cause Ted Cruz to overreact, become unhinged and thereby self-destruct. If so, then it succeeded beyond all expectations.

In any event, it was an utterly insignificant, "throwaway" political tactic, and one which you have attached entirely too much significance to.

Did he retain his credibility with you when he falsely flat-out accused Ted Cruz of infidelities?

I'm not aware of that "flat-out" accusation from Trump. Please, elaborate...

I agree with your thoughts there.

Levin and others made their bed.

We’re just not going to forget where they stood when our nation hung in the balance.

That allegation is false. I committed before the convention to support the nominee of the party and I faithfully supported Trump from then on until the election. I even noted my departure from Levin on that decision. You can review my posts since the election and you will find virtually no criticism of Trump or his nominees as to his current endeavors. To the contrary, you will find much in support.

I speak now in defense of both Ted Cruz and Mark Levin, I do not engage in gratuitous criticism of Donald Trump. My recent posts support that contention. Indeed, in the run-up to the nomination most of my criticisms of Trump were made because it was necessary to do so to support Cruz, not as free-floating attacks on Trump.

Bingo. It HAD to be a billionaire.

And you are right: it took Levin so long to partially come around (still defending foam boy) that it is clear it’s too little, too late. He had to be dragged by his personal financial interests only. It looks bad for him.

The nation was on the line last fall.

Here you are trying to elevate the individual above the nation.

Do you realize that? No.

It was okay for Tead to pout. Who cares if Hillary Clinton got to appoint the next three or four SCOTUS justices?

P R I O R I T I E S !

You just defended Tead rather than the nation. You don’t see that do you.

Not to mention the pictures of Amanda in the Fox bathroom at 5:00 a.m. wearing his jacket while he was on the set without his jacket showing off a matching temporary tattoo.

Sargon, there is no need for you to mount up and ride into the fray on your favorite hobby horse which is to attack me ad hominem...

You're right. It's more of a want than a need...

Actually Amanda was wearing a woman’s jacket. It wasn’t Ted’s. There’s lots of real documented things to be upset with Ted Cruz over but that isn’t one of them.

So..., I guess the honeymoon is over?

LOL

Maybe Levin is upset at how much attention Beck got last year. Heh heh heh...

Seems like the same sort if melt-down.

Levin’s tirades against Trump are obviously causing his ratings to tank so badly, he’s finally being forced to tack starboard to avoid losing his syndication.

The man is a mental case. Proof of this, is that he chose to stay on the warpath against Trump, AFTER his favored candidate left the race, and AFTER it became clear that Trump would be our nominee.

With everything that was at stake in the election, he chose to use his considerable influence with conservative voters to harangue and oppose Trump, EVEN DURING THE GENERAL.

Who knows how many votes Levin ultimately cost Trump? Thank God that Trump was strong enough to overcome Levin and the rest of the rotten establishment.

I faithfully supported Trump.

I have NEVER read a post by you this entire campaign that wasn't virulently anti-Trump.
