Mark Levin wants to once and for all put the difficult election behind the American patriots, be they Republican or of other persuasions, avid Trump supporters or reluctant, whole-hearted or less so. He says, It is time. It is time that we stand our ground in defending Donald Trumps legitimacy and the fact that he is the President-elect and to become the president.
Levin, who its better to have arriving late to the party than out driving around lost in the wrong neighborhood, says, Because Im telling you right now and Ive told you before, the media, the Praetorian Guard media, the Democrat Party, which puts party before country, academia and Hollywood, are seeking a coup of sorts. Thats exactly what theyre doing.
He continues, Standing up for Donald Trump in this regard. Not for every issue, not for every nominee, but standing up for Donald Trump is standing up for our Constitution, for the legitimacy of the election. We cannot allow the left and by the left I include the media, we cannot allow the left to decide whos legitimate and who is not. And keep something in mind they hate us too.
Levin points out, There would be no Jeff Sessions nomination if Hillary Clinton were the President-elect. Thered be no repeal of Obamacare, even an attempted repeal of Obamacare if Hillary Clinton had been elected. And I can go on down the line.
What they seek to do, says Levin, and theyve done it even before the man is inaugurated, is to drive issues of controversy. I dont mean controversy about specific matters, but the fact that hes president, they want it to be controversial.

To accuse or even to insinuate complicity in the blackest crime of the 20th century is not the stuff which might be overlooked as "utterly insignificant."
To allege as Trump emphatically did that Ted Cruz committed serial adulteries is anathema to a Christian of Cruz' persuasion.
These pokes were vicious and, even as you yourself observe, calculated to elicit a response. That is diabolical. Especially since the allegation concerning Ted Cruz' father came on the eve of a primary Trump was sure to win. It was gratuitous and it was ugly.
Was it fair to lie about golden showers? Did the president elect overreact in his press conference yesterday? Do you continue to hold to your double standards?
For the record, I believe the allegations are lies and that Trump was perfectly within his rights to behave as he did in the press conference.
It's ironic that your comment regarding me attacking you ad hominem is, at least in this particular instance, utterly baseless.
You seem to throw that term around rather liberally, and in cases when it doesn't actually apply.
From THE AD HOMINEM FALLACY FALLACY by Stephen Bond:
One of the most widely misused terms on the Net is "ad hominem". It is most often introduced into a discussion by certain delicate types, delicate of personality and mind, whenever their opponents resort to a bit of sarcasm. As soon as the suspicion of an insult appears, they summon the angels of ad hominem to smite down their foes, before ascending to argument heaven in a blaze of sanctimonious glory.
Forgot about that. I can understand Fiorina, and she got paid, but Amanda and Lyn’ Ted. That was a shocker.
More like the last 20 Years!
Amanda’s twitter feed pretty much convinced me that there was more than a professional relationship there.
Christian of Cruz’ persuasion.
******************************
The Elmer Gantry kind
In the wake of these outrageous provocations, Ted Cruz accepted an invitation to speak at the convention, advised the Trump people of the nature of his speech, submitted the speech before it was delivered and received no objection from the Trump camp. Rather, Trump played a theatrical stunt by moving in to the camera range during the speech. Was it a set up?
In the wake of this outrageous provocation, and completely above board by submitting his remarks in advance, Ted Cruz committed the unforgivable sin of inviting Republicans to vote their conscience. How disloyal!
You place all responsibility for this affair on the shoulders of Ted Cruz but you make no allowance for his righteous indignation at the ugly and unnecessary hurt done to Cruz' family. Under the circumstances, Cruz behaved as well as might be expected of any son and husband. Did Trump?
If the nation was put at risk, Donald Trump deserves to be made accountable for his contribution.
I requested a citation on that claim. I'm still waiting.
These pokes were vicious and, even as you yourself observe, calculated to elicit a response. That is diabolical.
Diabolical? LOL! Shrewd, obviously.
You like to point out how "sensitive" Trump is to insults, and yet in this instance Trump totally played Ted Cruz, proving that Cruz was equally as susceptible, if not moreso.
Especially since the allegation concerning Ted Cruz' father came on the eve of a primary Trump was sure to win.
Additionally, you make the above ludicrous claim. There was absolutely no certainty that Trump was going to win the Indiana primary. Indeed, if I recall correctly, in order to do so, Trump had to overcome an endorsement of Ted Cruz by Indiana's Governor. Let's see now, I can't seem to remember that governor's name? Oh yes, that's right: it was none other than Mike Pence, who is currently the Vice President-elect of the United States of America.
The only thing that was certain regarding the Indiana primary was that, if Ted Cruz didn't win, his campaign was effectively kaput.
Even so, Ted Cruz clung to the delusion that he could disrupt the RNC by contesting it, and he entered into rather incestuous arrangements with Ohio governor John Kasich, another Trump-hater.
I remember it like it was yesterday: a certain Cruz supporter claiming that Cruz would "cruise" into the convention with 7 or 8 hundred delegates, contest it, and somehow garner the nomination.
There was quite a bit of prognostication flying around in that time period. I engaged in some of it, and was fully vindicated.
But it reminded me of the fact that you, with your blind support of Ted Cruz, never withdrew your support for him, even when it became apparent that Cruz's only path to the nomination would have been via a scorched earth strategy of contesting the convention, and thereby instigating a civil war within the party which would have left it hopelessly splintered.
Instead, with his paltry delegate count, all Ted Cruz could do, thanks to extreme graciousness on Donald Trump's part, was to give a shamefully divisive convention speech at a moment when precisely the opposite was called for. In doing so, Cruz forever branded himself as a sore loser—someone who took little or no interest in uniting the party until the very last moment, when his influence meant almost nothing.
But I digress. Just taking a walk down memory lane...
I like Trump but..............
Where have we seen this before? Oh yeah.
I like Sarah but..............
Tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo little.
............Waaaaaaaaaay too late.
Don’t let that door hit you in the ass on the way out.
...none of which I did in the post you responded to.
When John Kennedy ran for president did you deny him because he would take orders from the Pope?
I confess that I held Brack Obama's religion against him because of his sitting at the feet for 20 Years of the Despicable Right Reverend Wright who preached hatred of the United States and a bizarre brand of neo-communism but those objections were political.
Ted Cruz is entitled to his religion and it is unbecoming to question a man's faith apart from his actions as generated by that faith. We all have our personal and ultimate accounting to make and I for one carry a great deal of skepticism about whether I know who has exclusive claim on true faith.
I'm a regular Rush listener. I listened to him nearly every day throughout the primary, and can tell you that he most definitely was shilling for Cruz until it became clear that Cruz would not make it.
He treated pro-Trump callers with utter disdain, and behaved most inappropriately toward them, frequently cutting them off, and even laughing in their faces. This was documented here on the daily Rush show threads.
To his credit, he actually kept his eyes and brain engaged during the process, and unlike Levin, chose to live in Realville when it became clear that Trump was the people's choice.
.
Now you have to wash your monitor screen and keyboard (and maybe your eyes too)
.
Actually I can early on he bragged about everything Trump in an attempt to get Cruz to adapt, but he didn't. I watch 24/7 and his visual antics when a Trumpest called in, the hand waving and face making was evident. By the way I believe that his use of Trump pest instead of one of the other derogatory names was because he considered them pests, and I have been a Rush Ditto Head for his entire career, watching him right now.
In any case he is onboard now and that matters, Levin, not so much.
“The problem is that he trashed Trump all the way to election day. In other words, he was trying to get Hillary elected. “
Yes. It’s one thing to be passionate about one chosen candidate over another during the primaries, but once Trump became the nominee EVERYONE on our side should have supported him every way they could. If they didn’t, they were, by default, supporting that intolerable Witch and I don’t define that as being “on our side.”
To Cruz’s credit, he eventually managed to put it aside (unlike many of the other candidates in the primaries).
Guess you watched a different election.
Once again, screw the nation talk.
The election wasn’t about Tead and Trump.
It was about the future of our nation.
Did Tead intend to leave our nation? If not, he had a vested interest.
Here we are talking about Tead’s personal matters vs the fate of the Supreme Court and our nation.
For you and Tead, Tead’s concerns seem to be of more importance.
I’m sorry you don’t know this already, but you don’t burn the nation down because someone insults you.
If you as an individual called me everything in the book and trashed my family too, I’d still try to save you on the side of the road. It’s what decent folks do.
Here we’re talking about a whole nation of people on the side of the road needing help.
Nope! Tead’s feelings were hurt.
Good grief!
