L.L. Bean likes to stay out of politics, but a donation by a member of the Bean family is putting the retailer on the defensive.
The Maine-based company issued a statement late Sunday after being targeted for boycott for alleged ties to Republican President-elect Donald Trump.
The founders of the hashtag #GrabYourWallet included Bean on the list after The Associated Press reported that L.L. Beans granddaughter, Linda Bean, contributed $60,000 to a political action committee supporting Trump. The donation exceeded the PACs contribution limit...

The new ‘McCarthyism’: Are you now or have you ever even a member of the Donald Trump Party?
I will be ordering a new pair of Maine hunting boots after next pay day
LL Bean is pricey, but has excellent outdoor wear and equipment.
They also have a great selection in shoes, slacks, shirts, and jeans.
I think I’ll need to place an order today.
I got a pair of slippers from them about a month ago and they’ll probably last for a couple years. They also had free shipping and a 10 dollar coupon which I just used for buying a blouse on clearance with free shipping too. Been happy with their stuff.
Bravo on your courage to help MAGA and slap Mirtle Streep’s sagging jowls.
I have placed my order for a light jacket and a pair of sorels just now.
Keep the faith.

Having lived in rural areas for the last 40 years, I can attest that this is a very astute observation.
Thank you for crystalizing it so well!
I guess if he supported BLM and their killing of cops, all would be fine.
It would be great if Trump tweets something about it, causing out side to FLOOD INTO those stores. Probably won’t happen...but you never know with Trump.
Due to the left: Yesterday it was gay marriage ruining careers, today it’s Trump, tomorrow it will be ANYONE that doesn’t have a “D” next to their name. We either stop this crap soon, or they will win.
I’m in Florida and have found their tropic weight cargo pants and shorts to be good in the heat. I also like their dock shoes and have worn them for many years. Unfortunately most of their merchandise is for a colder climate but I occasionally find a shirt or two. I am a satisfied customer and will buy something when appropriate.

Indeed. These leftist shits act like they own 99% of the country, and it was taken over by hostile forces (well... it WAS... hostile to THEM, that is).
Every single dress shirt I wear for work is from LL Bean. Others have gifted me other brands, but just don’t like the fit and feel, and they can’t match LL Bean quality and guarantee.
And I just ordered a CD of Jackie Evancho to help boost her sales. I have no clue what she sounds like, but want to support her for not backing down for the Inauguration.
We’re taking a cruise next month so I’ll be checking out LL Bean’s site and will place my order via phone so I can tell them WHY I’m ordering from them. I have a feeling that they don’t specialize in cruise wear but will see...
Liberals want to make it a crime to be a Repub.
I’m wearing a pair of LL Bean slippers now. Feet are warm and cozy.
I have a fair amount of LL Bean stuff and never had a complaint.
One of my sweatshirts is several years old, worn a lot, and has held up so well.
Linda Bean seems to mess up everything she touches. She practically owns St. George peninsula (Maine) where I vacation - to watch her restaurants serve up bad food, her little grocery stores (once so full and diverse)turn into half-empty storefronts only selling her products...yuck. I’m not surprised about the China charge.
I know this because I produced 3 commercials for this PAC at a heavy discount as well as risking future business for my independent business.
Bullied
Excellent news. They sell quality products. When I am sufficiently employed again, I will go shopping.
I always buy my sheets from them. Their sheets used to be from Israel, but now from China, they were the best sheets I ever bought. I still like them though. Also, bought my grandsons cold weather gear, and all was good quality.
