If Russia Hacked Podesta, Then Russia Knew Hillary Used a Private Server to Email Obama
The Huffington Post ^ | January 6, 2017 | H.A. Goodman

The current establishment narrative states that Russia used Hillary Clinton’s incriminating emails against her campaign to elect Donald Trump. When Democratic pundits or the U.S. intelligence community state that “Russia hacked our election,” they really mean Russia hacked the DNC and Clinton’s campaign. In 2016, words like “election” and “democratic process” are defined as either the DNC or Podesta’s emails. The fact Wisconsin hasn’t voted for a Republican since 1984, but picked Trump over Clinton, isn’t part of the equation.

Russia and “Russian hackers” are convenient scapegoats to explain Clinton’s $1.2 Billion campaign loss. Otherwise, Democrats would have to accept that Clinton’s negative favorability ratings, Iraq Vote, use of the phrase “super-predator” to describe black youth, advocacy of the TPP, Foundation issues, ongoing FBI email investigations, and the DNC’s cheating of Bernie Sanders might have had a tiny role in her defeat.

However, why would Russia only hack the DNC and Podesta’s emails?

What about Clinton’s server?

If indeed Russian hackers gave WikiLeaks the DNC and Podesta emails (there’s zero evidence backing this claim, but let’s follow the establishment’s narrative to its logical conclusion), then Russian intelligence would certainly have read these emails.

If indeed they hacked Clinton’s campaign, and then read Podesta’s emails, then Russia’s GRU and FSB intelligence agencies also knew Clinton used a private server; not a State.gov email address.

Oops....

The issue really isn’t that Russia hacked the DNC. All major countries are in the hacking business and try to influence gone government or another so as to benefit their own. It been going on in the cyber world from the beginning.

The issue is that the DNC and Hilary were so careless and ignorant that even a “14 year old” could gain access. All the attention should be focused on their failure to keep a secure system.

I’m eagerly anticipating “Wikileaks: The Book” and “Wikileaks: The Movie”, just in time for the next Congressional election.

Disagree. I think the U.S. is very good with computers, but the actions of Clinton and Obama would have thwarted any attempts to operate a secure network. The supposition that they did it to hide from FOIA requests becomes more plausible with each new story.

I’m amazed at the way I agree, in both content and spirit, with an article from Huffington Post.

Hillary’s server had domain name ClintonEmailServer.com.

Anybody with access to WhoIs (which is everybody on the Interwebs) could have found it.

Terrorist: “It is my INTENTION to kill for Allah. My MOTIVATION is I am a soldier for ISIS.
US Intelligence Agencies: “It is very hard to establish MOTIVATION OR INTENTION. We cannot attribute MOTIVATION or INTENTION of any perps of the recent incidents.”
US Intelligence Report: “While we cannot release any specifics we are 100% certain that we have determined the MOTIVATION and INTENTION of Putin and the entire leadership of Russia.”
Is it just me or is this smack of the politicization of intelligence?
Remember, Trump like Gulliani DOES not question the loyal intel agents in the field but only agencies who are lead by the likes of Jeh Johnson, John Brenner, and James Clapper

Julian Assange has repeatedly said that the leaked Podesta emails didn’t come from a government or a state actor.

I’ve never believed for a second, that Russia had anything to do with it. It’s a Democrat meme that was jump started by an offhand wisecrack Trump made at a campaign rally.

No Kidding, Huh? It’s about time! Let’s hope this grows legs to it’s most probable and logical conclusion via Ochum’s Razor...If they knew about the private server, what secrets did they glean???

We know the that computer skills of both Russians and Americans is very high. But relatively low-tech centers like the Philippines are known to be a hot bed for hackers in the telecom industry.

This is all about discovering passwords. Podesta had the worst password in the world "password".

The hackers are automated. If they are trying to hack a PBX system that handles a company's or government's private phone communications, all they need to do is try various passwords. And the first passwords they check are the default passwords for PBX manufacturer in use. Then they use what's called "brute force" testing of likely passwords until they get a hit. And it may take weeks or months to break in. If they are not patient, security systems will detect a high frequency of password misses and block the IP address or phone number of the caller.

On the PC, spies can have a tiny software robot or "bot" downloaded with malware let's say. The bot is then used to scan the computer for files with names like "mypasswords.doc".

As Assange said the other day, a 14-year old hacker could penetrate the Podesta email. The sloppiness of what Hillary and her team did was, in part, their attitude that even if they got caught, the voters wouldn't care and they would never go to jail because of it.

Well, our man Jeff Sessions is reporting to work in a couple weeks, and guess what he'll be investigating?

Darksheare :" Obama has his own “private” server.

Bet you are right !
And the FSB has his screenname which probably links to other folks who should also be on secure servers too !
See my post #8
All it takes is one chink in the security armour, and it leads to another, !
and then the Emporer has no cybersecurity, nor any clothes on. an is fully exposed !
