On todays Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough ripped as repulsive Sean Hannitys bromance with Julian Assange, and more generally criticized the Republican change of heart on Wikileaks. Background on the evolution of Hannitys views on Assange here [note: from Daily Beast.]
Scarborough noted that when Wikileaks divulged information about a CIA operation some years ago, Assange became the Republican enemy #1. In 2010, Donald Trump himself tweeted that WikiLeaks was disgraceful and that there should be death penalty or something.

Does Scarborough have a point? Have Republicans, including Hannity, changed their tune on Assange?
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
That interview was a great coup. Bravo for Sean for using his personal time to go interview the intelligent, thoughtful Assange. A hero who is paying quite a price.
What is repulsive is how Hannity’s intern was found dead in Hannity’s office one morning. Oh. Wait. That was Scarborough’s intern... Scarborough’s office...
But did Scarborough include any substance in his comments?
methinks Joe has something going on with Mika...just saying...
It’s about what’s IN the wikileaks....not the messenger.
Scarborough is just jealous.
Yes. IMO Sean is not a very talented broadcaster. But his audience is twenty times Joe’s.
Hannity has repeatedly said he has big problems with many of the things Assange has done, at least as it applies to previous acts.
Joe is the fakest man in broadcasting.
Morning Slow just jealous Sean got an exclusive. Maybe if Morning Slow stopped playing footsie with his co-star, stopped living the New York high-life, he too, could get an exclusive.
Wikileaks record of truthfulness is what it is.
Our government’s record of lying is what it is.
I don’t believe our government, or anyone employed by it, on anything.
In fact I fear my own government more than I fear Putin. A lot more.
My government is the enemy of my freedom.
Scarborough is in some ways representing what I do not like about our side.
He was actually pretty good to Trump early on. Then he switched, and went 100% against Trump and I was really, really turned off by that.
Now he’s again towing the line, against WikiLeaks?
Sure he had a moment in time when I was sort of inspired by him, but now I am not.
Maybe I am wrong to be anti-Scarborough now, but where was he when his support mattered?
Where?
DHS was caught red handed hacking into the State of Georgia
I assume that worries frick and frack , Mc Cain and Graham
Yep.
I do not believe these stinking, scurrying, lying, evil rats at all.
Every single time Trump said something the libs could use against him, Joe the fake the conservative piled on him and called for him to get out of the race. How many times did this creep say that Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump in an historic landslide? Almost daily. The reason Trump quit going on his show is because for one solid year all it was 3 hours of Trump bashing, starting out with fabricated polls showing Trump had no chance. Then the same cast of liberals to sit around agreeing with Scarborough that he had no chance. It never ends and now that he’ll be president it’ll never end. Scarborough destroyed whatever career he had years ago when he went over to the darkside. He should host a game show. He’s worthless.
I just don’t understand people. Government cannot function properly if the voters understand what is actually going on. A reputation for honest interactions with those around you is fine for an individual, but a -nation- needs secret friends who will not admit to it in public, it needs the ability to violate all its values, and lie continuously.
If a person acted like our government, they would be the most untrustworthy person in town. They almost would be the worst neighbor you could imagine.
“Yes. IMO Sean is not a very talented broadcaster. “
I know what you mean, and I thought that too until about a year or two ago too. But he has matured into a good one. And in this election he sure made his bones in my book. And I also have my eye on Tucker.
Sean now has something I never saw and that’s his ability to flip the entire broadcast world the finger and call BS when he sees BS.
And I don’t know the number but I bet you’re correct about 20 times the audience.
