(Washington Examiner) At any given time the United States has an aircraft carrier deployed somewhere around the world, usually in a hot spot such as the Persian Gulf or the Western Pacific.
But for the first week of this year, for the first time since World War II, no U.S. aircraft carriers were deployed, anywhere, a Navy spokesman confirmed. The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower had been in the Persian Gulf, contributing airpower to the counter-Islamic State campaign in Iraq and Syria. But it returned to its homeport of Norfolk, Va., on Dec. 30, after a seven-month deployment. And none of the Navy’s nine other aircraft carriers was on deployment.
Couple that with his crazed intent in pulling the USA in to a conflict with Russia, ya really got to wonder what is on his mind.

I’m guessing someone who can’t even pronounce corpsmen correctly has no idea where our carriers are. Maybe not even what they are.
It’s not like they wouldn’t know otherwise. *Civilian* commercial photo satellites would tell them if nothing else.
We should have, at a MINIMUM.....3 carriers at see at all times.
I was just wandering around on the Ronald Reagan at Yokosuka on Tuesday (OMFG, it is SO FREAKING AWESOME!! Thank you Commander and Ensign, y’all rock!). It’s in for a touch up job and various repairs, but should be out on deployment in a few months. That’s crazy that we don’t have one carrier deployed now. Way to go, Barry’O, you freakin’ pansy putz. FUBO!
That Nut that is the Secretary of Defense probably just wanted to get all his Sailors Sensitivity training completed by the end of the year.

Yeah, that guy, my bad.
I look at it another way. This is a time of turmoil and danger between the tyrant Obama and Trump’s inauguration. I would much rather have those carriers out of areas in which Obama could be tempted to play God and take revenge on this country by getting it into a theater war somewhere.
I’m hoping that someone in the Pentagon saw this as a possibility and did some creative scheduling.

Unfortunately, his handlers know exactly where and what they are.
Washington has twice the number of carriers necessary. Only 6 are needed. With 6, one can be on station in Atlantic & one in Pacific at all times.
