I know three families planning to have another baby based on Trump's win and the bright future ahead now.
That's just in my small circle of family and friends.
People keeping jobs, getting jobs. Economy doing well. Optimism in America again.
I'm expecting a TRUMP BABY BOOM Making America Great Again!
Anyone else hearing similar stories?
I’ll believe it when I see it.
The birth rate in the US has been pretty flat for nearly 50 years, ever since the end of the Baby Boom.
Conservatives should encourage their kids to marry and have families. Lie-berals hate kids. The best way to overcome them, perhaps the only way to defeat lie-beralism. Just do not put those rug-rats in public schools.
I guess I will be looking forward to the birth of baby Donald T Atreides in 2017. Or possibly Ivanka T Atreides.
I was hired for my job on November 9th. The hiring process really dragged on for like 6 weeks prior to that, but suddenly, the day after Trump was elected, they gave the go ahead. Coincidence? I think not!
Liberals worship at the twin altars of contraception and abortion. Kind of a self-defeating long term game plan, if you ask me.
On the other hand, conservatives like me have the idea that one of our basic goals in life, is to be fruitful and multiply. I've got six kids. I don't know a single liberal (in my age group) who has raised as many kids as I have.
There are lots of babies on the other side; the difference is that ours grow up. I strongly approve of real Americans having more children. Children are a blessing from God and a blessing for America.
“I will be looking forward to the birth of baby Donald T Atreides in 2017.”
You’re awesome!
MAGA!
I urge all young, White non-Liberals to have at least three kids.
How soon is the 40 hr work week coming back?
Once the kids outnumber the parents it’s over. They win.
I hope so! The Muslims and illegals are busy breeding us out of our own nation...paid for by working American citizens.
Yeah....I would hold off on counting chickens before we have eggs.
I doubt we’ll see more American children; the last few decades have provided a huge disincentive to breeding in terms of financial security. Childless workers may be more comfortable splurging, but children are a whole new level of commitment that frankly many people don’t want/won’t accept. Also, as bad as divorce may be for guys, adding children to the mix steps that misery up to a whole new level.
we have major structural problems that can’t be fixed overnight. we have a whole generation that has been brainwashed that family values are bad. TRump does not have a magic wand but it can’t get much worse than it is now so hopefully the worst is behind us.
That generation watched people who took a leap of faith had the rug pulled out under them; I believe people still want families, but are concerned about their economic futures.
I know young men personally who would like to have families but they are scared off by the legal problems they may face if the marriage doesn’t work, and there is no shortage of women publicly bemoaning the fact that nobody wants to marry/breed with them. Attempting to ridicule young men into starting families isn’t working; they’ve watched their fathers and/or their fathers’ peers suffer the consequences.
Buy stock in companies that produce products for babies?
There is definitely money to be made - the products just aren’t going to be used for American babies. Here in NJ we’re importing Hispanic and Asian families just to keep schools open; there are few American babies here. Nearly two decades ago when I started my family, there were already very few American babies in the maternity ward.
I don’t know about forty but eliminating Obamacare should bring back the thirty eight hour week. Huge numbers of people now are limited to twenty eight because thirty triggers the employer insurance requirement for companies with more than fifty employees. Yet those people are counted as employed to give the ridiculously low unemployment rates that are reported. They pretend that having sixteen people working twenty five hours is far better than having ten people working forty hours.
