The Stolen Supreme Court Seat
The New York Times ^ | December 24, 2016 | The Editorial Board

Posted on 12/25/2016 5:37:35 AM PST by Trump20162020

Soon after his inauguration next month, President-elect Donald Trump will nominate someone to the Supreme Court, which has been hamstrung by a vacancy since the death of Justice Antonin Scalia in February. There will be public debates about the nominee’s credentials, past record, judicial philosophy and temperament. There will be Senate hearings and a vote.

No matter how it plays out, Americans must remember one thing above all: The person who gets confirmed will sit in a stolen seat.

It was stolen from Barack Obama, a twice-elected president who fulfilled his constitutional duty more than nine months ago by nominating Merrick Garland, a highly qualified and widely respected federal appellate judge.

The Dems were ecstatic when Scalia passed away and Obama presented his ace...which when turned over...turned out to be...a joker.

No seat for you!!

Obama has one sick administration.

But Trump MUST set forth a mainstream candidate???

“These people are INSANE!”

Or, maybe, these people are revolutionaries hiding behind and subverting the 1st Amendment.

(The scu&bags never stop.)

The Dems poisoned the process with Bork. Reap what you sow, hypocrites. It was about dang time the Reps started taking a stand on something. It’s the Trump affect.

You need 51 votes to do that and I don't think there are 51 votes there.

To the editorial board of the Slimes, you don't have the balls and honesty to put your name on this bs.

The history of the USSC is interesting, and the recent refusal to cconsider Obama’s nominee for seat #9 is not the first time partisan politics came into play.

In 1937 Roosevelt tried to add justices by adding more justices. The legislation failed.

If “journalism” was of the caliber of just a few years ago, the article would have pointed out the history of the branch.

What does it take to put the final nail in this abomination’s coffin? (NYT)

We could have it labeled as hate mail and the paper would be prohibited from crossing state lines or being transmitted electronically. That outta do it.

Actually, I just read that several floors of their offices downtown NYC are being vacated. It’s a good sign that things are dicey with them.

Because Harry Reid was so above politics and a such a strict observer of tradition, protocol and decorum.

I think you forgot Jack Mormon, money launderer, back slider, and influence peddler.

More garbage from the Slimes and another example of why it’s time for Trump to use anti-trust laws to break up the left wing media when he takes office.

The Constitution says the Senate must consent. They did not consent.

Case Closed.

Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Hypocrisy is a badge of honor to the left. It's a resume enhancement.

Words have meaning to most people, that's why their are Dictionary's.

To the left. their Dictionary is 1 (one) page only.

The left's definition of any word, is what they need it to mean / describe / intend, at any given moment, and only for that moment, nothing more, nothing less, and never hold them to that definition, because it is certain to change in the next minute. Just like sunlight follows darkness of nightfall.

The New York Slimes are a bunch of Traderious S.O.B's, in my view.

Now; if I could only tell you, how I feel about this bunch. /s
