Soon after his inauguration next month, President-elect Donald Trump will nominate someone to the Supreme Court, which has been hamstrung by a vacancy since the death of Justice Antonin Scalia in February. There will be public debates about the nominee’s credentials, past record, judicial philosophy and temperament. There will be Senate hearings and a vote.
No matter how it plays out, Americans must remember one thing above all: The person who gets confirmed will sit in a stolen seat.
It was stolen from Barack Obama, a twice-elected president who fulfilled his constitutional duty more than nine months ago by nominating Merrick Garland, a highly qualified and widely respected federal appellate judge.

Boo-freaking-hoo! The vacant seat was not Zero’s, therefore could not be stolen. The American people are thankful another America-hating twit is not sitting on the court for decades.

I give up on bipartisanship. Whoever is in charge runs things. Period.
I believe Scalia’s life was stolen by either Clinton or Obama lackeys.
If you want to achieve progressive goals, you will now have to go to Congress to get them passed into law, as the Founders intended. You will have to make your arguments before the whole country instead of sneaking them in through court decisions.

They don't have the votes. I can think of half a dozen Republicans who will vote against the nuclear option.

It was not stolen. The twice elected muslim president did such lousy job. He was unable to get the votes needed in the congress because the American people had rejected his actions. In recent mid-terms his policies were clobbered. Therefore, representatives were sent to stop him.
The Republicans gave him enough rope to hamstring the Democratic Party for at least the next 3 election cycles.
Or a "migrant" Islamist.
