'There Can Be Only One Response': Putin Reacts to Assassination of Russian Ambassador
Townhall.com ^ | December 20, 2016 | Cortney O'Brien

Russian President Vladimir Putin joins a host of world leaders who have had to respond to brazen terror attacks on Monday. One of those attacks happened in Ankara, Turkey, where Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov was killed in cold blood by a police officer who was standing behind him during a speech in an art gallery. After he shot Karlov several times in the back, the killer screamed that he did it for Aleppo. The entire attack was caught on camera.

Putin has vowed revenge.

"A crime has been committed and it was without doubt a provocation aimed at spoiling the normalization of Russo-Turkish relations and spoiling the Syrian peace process which is being actively pushed by Russia, Turkey, Iran and others," said a stern-faced Putin.

"There can only be one response - stepping up the fight against terrorism. The bandits will feel this happening."

Monday's other tragedies occurred in Berlin, Germany, where a truck driver plowed into a crowd in a Christmas market, murdering 12 people and injuring nearly 50 others. German Chancellor Angela Merkel defined it as a terror attack. The killer may still be at large.

In Zurich, Switzerland - again on the same day - a gunman injured several people near an Islamic center.

I think you’ve touched on why a lot of conservative americans have an odd respect for Putin.

One thing I'll give Putin, there is no question about his love for his country. I've missed that in our leader for the last eight years.

NY Daily News’ Gersh Kuntzman argued Tuesday that “justice was served” following the assassination of Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov, saying that the murder of Karlov at the hands of a Turkish police officer shouting, “Allahu akbar,” and, “Don’t forget Aleppo,” was not terrorism, but instead a noble act.

From the NY Daily News and infowars.

Well, that same thought certainly occurred to me, that wasn’t Benghazi and Putin isn’t obama.

I saw the video of the ambassador being shot.

What a coward he was, shooting an ambassador, of all people, in the back.

How or why the gunman wasn’t made into Swiss cheese on the spot is beyond me.

Disgusting beyond words but apparently typical of muslim mentality. He deserves anything and everything that happens to him.

why exactly are we against Assad?

We were not - the administration was in their rush to support the Arab Spring. Interestingly - little known fact for people to digest.... Assad was against the pipeline (as was Russia and Iran) from the Gulf States through Syria into Turkey and into Europe. The Saudi’s and other Gulf States want this pipeline so they can easily sell more to Europe. It would be fair to say the pipeline could be worth trillions. Assad was stopping it because he refused to allow it to cross Syria. Russia would do almost anything to stop it because it would end their semi-exclusive market into Europe.

Supporting the overthrow of Assad made no sense to me until you look at the donations to the Clinton foundation from the Gulf States. They donated huge sums of money at the same time our State Department seemingly reversed course to support the ouster of Assad. The rest is history.

Follow the money?

Follow the money?

And follow the thugish behavior of Putinist Russia. Many European countries also wanted the pipeline due to the endless threats and bullying from one party state fascist Russia.

Obama admin started the Syria conflict, it is an extension of Libya , they continue to stir the pot, it is a proxy war with Russia, Obama is an Islamic Jihadi, Muslim Brotherhood community organizer in disguise. He seems so innocent and sweet on the outside but is evil on the inside. I truly believe Obama will chuckle if a Jihadi hits a US shopping mall at christmastime One of Obamas goals is to spread the evil around , terrorist gardens in every US city and town by flooding america with refugees from the wars he caused https://southfront.org/breaking-14-us-led-coalition-military-advisers-captured-by-syrian-special-forces-in-aleppo/

I admit I do not understand foreign affairs, but how can one be in favor of Syria, which supposedly has been killing ISIS rebels, AND Iran, which touts jihad? Russia is allied with Iran AND Syria. I have never trusted Putin, though I recognize his strength. I do not think he is the good guy here. Not when he backs Iran. I don’t trust ANYONE in the middle east, except Israel.

I think we respect him as a nationalist who sticks up for his own nation, and recognizes the globalists as enemy.

Incidentally, he is an enemy of the Clinton crime syndicate, which I am starting to view as a group simply seeing the Obama weakness all around them, and interpreting the Mideast and Africa as a TON OF LOOT, WEAKLY GUARDED.

For years, Putin has been the only one opposing them.
