'There Can Be Only One Response': Putin Reacts to Assassination of Russian Ambassador
Townhall.com ^ | December 20, 2016 | Cortney O'Brien

Russian President Vladimir Putin joins a host of world leaders who have had to respond to brazen terror attacks on Monday. One of those attacks happened in Ankara, Turkey, where Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov was killed in cold blood by a police officer who was standing behind him during a speech in an art gallery. After he shot Karlov several times in the back, the killer screamed that he did it for Aleppo. The entire attack was caught on camera.

Putin has vowed revenge.

"A crime has been committed and it was without doubt a provocation aimed at spoiling the normalization of Russo-Turkish relations and spoiling the Syrian peace process which is being actively pushed by Russia, Turkey, Iran and others," said a stern-faced Putin.

"There can only be one response - stepping up the fight against terrorism. The bandits will feel this happening."

Monday's other tragedies occurred in Berlin, Germany, where a truck driver plowed into a crowd in a Christmas market, murdering 12 people and injuring nearly 50 others. German Chancellor Angela Merkel defined it as a terror attack. The killer may still be at large.

In Zurich, Switzerland - again on the same day - a gunman injured several people near an Islamic center.

CNN works day and night to convince stupid people that the crying women and children posting vids on Twitter are NOT the wives and children of ISIS vermin.

“Start leveling major gathering sites on Friday.”

Here’s a good strategy: kill a few of the terrorists - just assassinate them via sniper or bomb.

Then comes the funeral, complete with hundreds or thousands of attendees, all of whom sympathize (and many of whom are fellow terrorists).

Drop a fuel-air explosive on the funeral(s). That’ll learn ‘em.

“I agree with what you are saying there, but I was speaking in generalities. And remember, there was a reason Reagan dropped a few bombs on Qudaffi. I still remember that video, as the camera went upside down for a second.”

I also remember that one of our F-111s “accidentally” dropped a laser-guided bomb on the French embassy compound. Coincidentally, the French had denied us the right to use their airspace, so the F-111s had to fly from the UK all the way around the Iberian peninsula and across the Med to hit Libya. Guess the pilots were a bit tired and “made a mistake.” Sam Kinison had a GREAT routine about that one.

Now’s a great time to buy stock in Rand McNally.

A bunch of borders are about to be redrawn and a at least a couple of countries are about to disappear.

I see it differently. The Sunnis ( including ISIS) are in Syria to overthrow the sovereign and elected government of Bashar Al Assad through terrorism and insurrection. Assad is of the Alawite sect and sympathetic to the Shiites . The Sunnis took over in Aleppo within the sovereign country of Syria . Syria ,under international law, requested assistance from the Russian to push out the Sunni terrorist. That was granted . Now the Sunni bastards are getting slaughtered and have lost Aleppo real bad, The next little party will be a Raqqa , a city known as the Isis HQ in the illegally held sovereign territory of Syria. We can now see President Trump , at the legal request of Assad, committing ground and air power along with the Russian invitees to kill thousands of those gawdless bastards real dead and remove them from Syria 100%! McCain can go to hell.

Now a SECOND Russkie Diplomat has been found murdered. This is beginning to read like a Tom Clancy novel.

It’s nice to hear a head of state react when his ambassador is murdered. Wish I could say ours did

You accurately provided color commentary as to how they got to where they are. I was simply stated my view of the sentiment in Sunni populated Turkey at the time of the assassination.

I’m sure he and Trump have already communicated on this. Once Trump is sworn in, I expect things to go down pretty quickly.

I tend to agree with you on the first one and I am sure it was done on the QT.

Putin has drawn his version of the "red line" and I believe that it is going to be a damn sight deadlier and heavier enforced than the POS in the White House.

I am anxious to see Trump with bridle in his mouth. I want to see how hard he pulls on it.

The war in Syria is the MSM’s war and they purposefully show all its brutality because of that.

Remember the war in El-Salvador?

It hit me during that war: Why do we only hear about this when there is so much other bad stuff going on in the world? The answer: That is where they’ve put their reporters and chosen to report. The other atrocities will still be there to report when this one is milked for all it’s worth.

I was listening to NPR regarding Aleppo last night and they talked about people’s lack of response to the horrific images. Except in my case, I’ve not seen a single image from there. I don’t need to. I’m more concerned about the problems faced in the poor counties in my home commonwealth of Kentucky. Once we get that fixed we can direct our concerns elsewhere.

Think globally but act locally.

IMHO, the only reason for us to get involved in Syria is to preserve AMERICAN interests.

Yup, they shot down a fighter jet. I’m thinking they’ve gone from the Sick Man of Europe to a legitimate threat.

Sounds like he is saying things are about to get much hotter in Syria.

Hussein Obama, America's FIRST Pro-Muslim President, will have a problem with Russia attacking his terrorists. Hussein has worked hard for Islam and Putin is about to ruin it all.

Plus, it is an opportunity for Hussein to show Trump really is working with the Russians. Maybe Hussein can start a shooting war with Russia before Jan 20.
