'There Can Be Only One Response': Putin Reacts to Assassination of Russian Ambassador
Townhall.com ^ | December 20, 2016 | Cortney O'Brien

Russian President Vladimir Putin joins a host of world leaders who have had to respond to brazen terror attacks on Monday. One of those attacks happened in Ankara, Turkey, where Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov was killed in cold blood by a police officer who was standing behind him during a speech in an art gallery. After he shot Karlov several times in the back, the killer screamed that he did it for Aleppo. The entire attack was caught on camera.

Putin has vowed revenge.

"A crime has been committed and it was without doubt a provocation aimed at spoiling the normalization of Russo-Turkish relations and spoiling the Syrian peace process which is being actively pushed by Russia, Turkey, Iran and others," said a stern-faced Putin.

"There can only be one response - stepping up the fight against terrorism. The bandits will feel this happening."

Monday's other tragedies occurred in Berlin, Germany, where a truck driver plowed into a crowd in a Christmas market, murdering 12 people and injuring nearly 50 others. German Chancellor Angela Merkel defined it as a terror attack. The killer may still be at large.

In Zurich, Switzerland - again on the same day - a gunman injured several people near an Islamic center.

I think that if Russia wants to survive the Muslim onslaught, it really needs to adopt a more American type economic system, free up its citizens ability to build capital and start companies. This war on terrorism is expensive.

I hope it’s real, but I’d be promoting fake news if I just went ahead and said it was. It sounds like what he’d say, anyway. :)

Maybe Hussein can start a shooting war with Russia before Jan 20.

That is actually my concern. We are not out of the woods until Trump takes the oath. And the risk, in my opinion, increases with the passing of each day.

why exactly are we against Assad?

You have to go back to Hussein's Arab Spring and his support of the rebels in Egypt and Libya.

Hussein and useful idiot Hillary Clinton were transerring weapons from Libya when the terrorist attack in Benghazi occurred.

In Syria, Hussein is again supporting the rebels. WHO ARE THE REBELS? In Egypt it was primarily the Muslim Brotherhood who are Muslim terrorists.

In Libya, the rebels were Al Qaeda.

In Syria, yep, Muslim terrorists again.

By pulling US troops out of Iraq, Hussein intended to give that country to ISIS (you may remember Trump said Hillary and Hussein started ISIS, Trump was NOT kidding).

By overthrowing governments, Hussein and his Muslim handlers were setting up Islam to pick up the pieces. Like Nixon's domino theory for the spread of communism, Hussein is working to set up Islam to takeover the west.

Mohamed will not return until the world is all Muslim. That means convert or die.

Does that make sense or do you still wonder why Hussein talks about his Holy Koran and refuses to say Muslim terrorists?

Our first Muslim President treats Americans like they are idiots. So far, he has no worry about anyone accusing him of being a traitor so his premise appears to be correct.

and is it over pipelines in Syria? - well, they are doing it for some reason. Pipelines works for me.

Hussein hopes you continue to wonder why he is always supporting the rebels. The rebels are Muslim terrorists.

Hussein only has a few more days to start a war with Russia. A Russian/US conflict is a win-win for Hussein and the Muslims.

A war weakens the west and makes Islam stronger so that they can continue to destabilize and then overthrow the western governments.

Who is the Russian James Taylor?

Pu**y Riot. And I don’t think that is what Vlad “The Impaler” Putin has in mind.

Pipeline from Saudi Arabia/Qatar needs to go through Syria. Plus: CIA says so. Of course, CIA also said Hilliary should win, so I’m thinking maybe we need a replacement CIA.

Oh, I’m sure Obama would defend Kenya, or Indonesia, or Canada. Anywhere as long as it’s not the U.S.A. especially the CONUS.

Russia has a 13% flat rate income tax. Like many other countries, Russian oligarchs often take over businesses previously owned by non-oligarchs. This, in the longer term, hurts Russia. But do be aware that after 1991, Russia moved a long way towards a market economy. Just not American style. Their best industries are still oil and military hardware, which makes them competitors with similar American corporation.

IIRC, Congress passed a bill that contained a prohibition against co operation with Russia against Terrorists, unless Russia gives up the territory in Crimea.

In addition, taking down Iranian sponsorship of Jihad is absolutely necessary. Russia, Iran, and Turkey becoming allies doesn’t bode well.

The assassin in Turkey was apparently part of the political Islamic Group that brought the current Turkish Leader to power.

The same reason we were against Qudaffi and Saddam. He’s a despot that rules with an iron fist. We learned with the other two what happens when we take them out and then leave. In this case, Russia decided to get involved so the muslims didn’t get the upper hand, yet again.

*******************************************************
Possible contributing factor is that Assad was always an ally with Russia. After USA took out Leadership in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Russia did nothing, a policy was developed to take out all the regimes that had allied with Russia during the cold war.

In addition, Saudi Arabia wants Assad gone. And of course, there is also the pipeline - not just about profit either. Consider that Europe is very dependent upon fossil fuels from Russia-so there's always that to ponder.

I very much fear that the policies followed by the major powers including NATO and Russia have unleashed forces that are out of control, and will be hard deal with. Pandora's box has been opened, and putting the forces back in the box near impossible.

“why exactly are we against Assad?”

The plan of Obunghole and Rotten Cankles was to remove every halfway sane government in the Middle East and replace it with al Qaeda.

Same here. And I sure as hell respect the man for raining hell down on whomever killed his countrymen.

Been awhile since anyone in our neck of the woods would do such a thing.

It appears as though a new Crusade has begun. Sadly the Muslims think they will win this time. I think not.
