Mitch McConnell is getting ready to unravel Obama’s coal rules

As part of the President’s eleventh hour surge of new rules which are intended to hamstring any reforms sought by the Trump administration, the Interior Department recently rolled out a new “stream protection” order. This move would once again vastly expand the definition of open waters and restrict industrial activity which might, in theory, impact them under the Clean Water Act. The long and the short of it was yet another barrier to any sort of coal mining in the country. Rather than waiting for new leadership to rewrite everything, go through an extensive period of public comment and court challenges and eventually counter the regulation, the Senate Majority Leader announced this week that he was going to head this situation off at the pass. Amazing that an eight year legacy is so pitiful that it can be erased with a pencil.

I hear what you’re saying, but what’s different this time is that Trump is coming into office.

Mitch knows who is going to own him in a month or so...

That was Hillary's biggest boo boo in Pa.....following the party with "no coal" forever. It simply couldn't be unsaid.

Between the coal and complimentary steel workers profession, she lost "the workers" vote.

Pennsylvania knew where their bread and butter came from. I could remember driving to Florida through Pa....We were pretty sure we'd never get all the coal dust off the car.

She basically did the same thing in Michigan...your jobs have left the station....and they aren't coming back.

Trump will demolish Obama’s legacy just like he does with derelict properties that are in the way of his new building projects. lol

McConnell is not to be trusted on anything. He is a sleaze bag and a backstabber. I can’t wait for Trump to steamroll him.

I’m going to go way, way, out on a limb and predict that McConnell is going to be a pleasant surprise by being a good friend to President Trump.

Maybe all he needed was strong leadership .
