A Republican elector from Texas on Monday defended his plan to vote against President-elect Trump today, and it's time for others to follow in an effort to deny Trump the White House.
"This is, unfortunately, the first time I think we've needed to use it as a nation, but it's time to pull the brake," Christopher Suprun said on CNN.

Why hasn’t the Texas GOP (or whoever is in charge of the electors, TX Sec of State?) pulled this guy and replaced him?
It is time for Elector Suprun to “Update” his resume. Your lies have been found out, sir, and you are not the “hero” you profess to be. Instead, you are a cheap, publicity-seeking liar resting on the stolen valor of others.
Um. His 15 minutes were up last week.
Indiana’s Electors have just cast all 11 of their votes for Trump.
Are they appeasing the GOPe?
Doesn’t this guy resemble Glen Beck?
I have written and called every office i know to call to get this fool replaced by an alternate. He is a disgusting representation of my state. I can’t believe the Texas GOPe hasn’t replaced him. I am ashamed.
Because he was elected to the position on November 8th.
There have been court cases where the window of opportunity for removal has been defined. The window defining the "voting period" is more or less not available to those that could remove this schlub. Otherwise, the definition of an "elector" is transformed to something other than intended.
The guy is a scam artist who thinks he has an opportunity to cash in on his notoriety - most like him hit a few shows and then snuff out like candles in the wind.
The guy looks like Glenn Beck’s brother.
I just noticed that, too.
The Texas GOPe chose the electors. I have called them repeatedly telling them to replace him. Fallen on deaf ears. They point out he isn’t even from my area. I don’t care, it’s my state he’s representing and while I stopped supporting the GOPe many years ago Trump is still the candidate, he won and I’ve conveyed my anger at our vote being dishonored.
I think he was actually elected to his position in May, as part of the Texas state party convention. But just about any elected person can be removed in some fashion - recall, impeachment, etc. I wonder if there is a process in Texas for this...or if there will be in the future.
Suprin, you will need to go into the Federal Witness Protection Program.
He’s looking for a book deal where he will extol his 9-11 exploits.
[Hes looking for a book deal where he will extol his 9-11 exploits.]
I assume it will be shelved in the fiction section...
