During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, First Lady Michelle Obama pretty much compared the relationship between her husband and the rest of the country to that of a parent and an injured child.
Noting that we’re now feeling what not having hope feels like, Mrs. Obama explained how “hope” was more than a slogan for Barack Obama.
“Our children respond to crises the way they see us respond,” Mrs. Obama said. “You know, it’s like the toddler that bumps his head on the table and they look up at you to figure out if it hurts.”
She went on to tell Oprah that she felt that way about the nation and how she believes the president has been that for the country, calling him a “grown up in the White House.”

She makes me ashamed to be a member of the same species.
She is repeating something she heard someone else say. It does not relate to her husband at all. I had two parents who went through the Depression and WWII. They never whined or pouted like that spoiled weakling Barack does.
Now we know one of the reasons kids run away from home.
I am deplorable, though.
Her husband was supposed to be a SERVANT of the people! WE are the parents! HE is the insufferable ME ME ME ME spoiled little brat who thinks he is SOOOOOOO special!
I agree with another poster - unfortunately, they are never going away. We will be stuck with Moochie and her loser husband for years.

These people have no class. They will never shut up. When we have 4% economic growth they will claim that they prepared the way. Having a distorted view of reality is not unique, however there is a point when it becomes pathological. The problem is that thanks to our media and education system, half the U.S. public believes this nonsense. This woman is a leech. She produced nothing and consumes like an empress.
And like an absent father, he’s gone on vacation, and left his suicidal children on their own. Poor babies.
