Attorney General Loretta Lynch called the fallout from her 'innocuous' tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton 'painful'
Outgoing Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she regretted taking a tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton in June
Lynch, talking to CNN's Jake Tapper, was informed that Clinton wanted to come say hi, but the conversation went longer than expected
At the time, the FBI was investigating Hillary Clinton's private email server, trying to determine if she mishandled classified information
When FBI Director James Comey said Hillary Clinton wouldn't be prosecuted several days later, conservatives suggested the meeting with Bill played a part
Lynch told Tapper she wished she would have 'seen around that corner,' as she would have pushed back on Bill Clinton's desire to meet
She didn't think her meeting with the ex-president led to Comey's decision to alert Congress of new emails, which possibly hurt Hillary Clinton't campaign
Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she regretted taking a tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton, calling the political fallout from it 'painful,' as it cast doubt on the FBI's investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails.
She worried that it made it look like her Department of Justice wasn't playing fair.
The outgoing attorney general, who will be replaced by Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions once team Trump comes into the office, told CNN's Jake Tapper she didn't expect the chat to blow up the way that it did.
'I wish I had seen around that corner and not had that discussion with the former president, as innocuous as it was, because it did give people concern,' Lynch said.

Exactly. What did she think would happen? If you have any integrity at all you refuse the meeting and tell him to get the hell off you plane. Then you go to the press and tell everybody what he tried to do and what you did about it so you save some credibility
And the MenSeekingMen recognized Americans were so accustomed to in-your-face corruption from the Clintons that we didn’t expect them to explain this little meeting in any detail.
Sessions needs to make one admin crook per day apologize for their lawbreaking, so by inaug time even HRC fans won’t want to hear her name ever again.
What the media is doing is spackling over the election results for the legacy of Bill&Hill when Chelsea runs for a house seat in ‘18 or ‘20, so that her entry narrative is ‘daughter of first woman to nearly win the presidency, if it weren’t for that egregious Russian hacking that the CIA and FBI condemned.’
Even with all the shame and humiliation already befalling Loretta Lynch, simply because she did not see it coming, in no way excuses what she did subsequently. The right course of action would have been to order Bill Clinton off the plane immediately, but she sat down and listened to his pitch. Worse, she lied later about what was discussed.
Now Slick, we expect him to lie, it is his very lifeblood. But Loretta Lynch listened to his lies, and based her subsequent actions on the lies. Ask Libby Scooter or Martha Steward how that goes. Neither was prosecuted for what they actually did, but for being caught in a lie by Federal agents, for swearing to aspects of the incident that were in conflict with the accepted chain of events.
It is not the crime, but the cover-up, that trips up most criminal activity.
As if identity-politics voters care about anything other than identity politics?

“Seen around that corner?”
No corner, there, AG Lynch. Straight shot of logic. Meeting with the spouse of the target of an investigation? And a spouse of such power standing?
An ordinary citizen could have seen that was a minefield. But a lawyer? The Attorney General of the United States?
What does that say about your incompetence? Or integrity?
Never mind, the questions are rhetorical.
Two former lawyers, one a two term POTUS, former governor, and the other a current attorney general had no idea this meeting was inappropriate if not illegal and the optics were devastating. Just pure BS, but let’s say they were both this innocently stupid.....no wonder this country is in trouble.
Those legs are like tree trunks! Her calfs are larger than my thighs and I weigh 230#
That was always in the back of my mind. His anonymity would certainly have been curtailed along with, um, like, um......other activities.....
Hey LoLo, if you think the fallout was painful, wait til ya get a feel for the handcuffs and the jail cell bed. We are coming after you, and no amount of backpedaling is going to save you from the obstruction of justice conviction you will be receiving in 2017.
He said some wacky things on the campaign trail, didn’t he? Like obamacare sucks or the economy?
I am convinced that between Clinton(our first black president) and Obummer(our second black president), Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, it might be a while before we see a black nominated for any of the positions of high importance in our government.
Loretta Lynch, a bird poop stain on the window of history.
Bye now.
Bubba blindsided her to compromise her. She never saw it coming.
God protect Trump especially from the traitors in his own party-—McConnell, Ryan, McCain, Graham, and the whole GOP-e apparatus.
And hopefully those pitbulls don’t loose their teeth.
My belief is a cumulative effect grew, over emails, this meeting, deplorables remark, and everything else.
