Attorney General Loretta Lynch called the fallout from her 'innocuous' tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton 'painful'
Outgoing Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she regretted taking a tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton in June
Lynch, talking to CNN's Jake Tapper, was informed that Clinton wanted to come say hi, but the conversation went longer than expected
At the time, the FBI was investigating Hillary Clinton's private email server, trying to determine if she mishandled classified information
When FBI Director James Comey said Hillary Clinton wouldn't be prosecuted several days later, conservatives suggested the meeting with Bill played a part
Lynch told Tapper she wished she would have 'seen around that corner,' as she would have pushed back on Bill Clinton's desire to meet
She didn't think her meeting with the ex-president led to Comey's decision to alert Congress of new emails, which possibly hurt Hillary Clinton't campaign
Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she regretted taking a tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton, calling the political fallout from it 'painful,' as it cast doubt on the FBI's investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails.
She worried that it made it look like her Department of Justice wasn't playing fair.
The outgoing attorney general, who will be replaced by Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions once team Trump comes into the office, told CNN's Jake Tapper she didn't expect the chat to blow up the way that it did.
'I wish I had seen around that corner and not had that discussion with the former president, as innocuous as it was, because it did give people concern,' Lynch said.

Lynch said that she didn't like that her actions may have caused people to think otherwise.
'It was painful for me, and so I felt it was important to clarify it as quickly and as clearly and as cleanly as possible,' she said.
Bubba blindsided her to compromise her. She never saw it coming.
Put some ice on it, toots.
It was unethical. She should not have met with him
lock her up.
Why is she defending herself now?
DID SHE REGRET THE MEETING OR DID SHE REGRET THAT THE FACT OF THE MEETING BECAME KNOWN?
It was most likely the GETTING CAUGHT that she found painful.
the discussion lasted a long time because she wouldn’t accept the paltry initial bribe. Ordinary Black preachers get more than she was offered
Well Loretta, what does this say about your judgment, about your professionalism??? If it was such a bad idea why did you do it??? You didn’t realize how it would look?? Well then that comes back to, what about your professional judgment or lack thereof, doesn’t it????
he wanted his wife to lose?
So he muddied the water for HRC?
Why is she even admitting this? Is Sessions about to clamp down on her? On McCain? Graham? Bringing up the REAL reasons HRC lost the election is hardly helpful within this Russian narrative, so WHY?
Only reason she’d toss it out there I can see is to get ahead of an offensive firing up against her. She told her FBI on the tarmac not to allow ANY recording or photos of the meeting. It wasn’t just a bump-up-against, it was scheduled.
She is going to be out of office now, and was expecting Hillary to be president for the next eight years, till the statute of limitations ran out.
She’s a liar, just like everyone else associated with the 0bama administration and the 0bama/Clinton democrat party. She knew exactly what she was doing, she just didn’t think she’d get caught. I doubt it was a coincidence that Clinton said that she’d keep Lynch as AG if she were to be elected.
Loretta, your greatest achievement as Attorney general was to reveal yourself to be corrupt by this meeting.
That’s really the only thing you did at all during your tenure.
Congratulations, babe, you should be super proud of yourself.
Obama tolerated a lot of sleaze in his cabinet. Hillary’s server. Lynch’s ‘innocuous’ meeting. Tim Geithner not paying taxes. John Kerry (’nuff said). He needs to be tarred with their malfeasance. He picked ‘em.
That claim is an insult to the intelligence of the American public.
Lies, lies, and more Dem lies.
