The president of the Cornell University College Republicans was shoved to the ground and called a “racist bitch” the night after the election, and campus officials are currently investigating the incident.
“I was actually assaulted on campus for being a Republican,” Olivia Corn told The Tab. “I had someone throw me to the ground and say: ‘[bleep] you, racist bitch, you support a racist party.”
Corn gave the same account to The Ithaca Voice.
“Out of nowhere I was on my phone and looking at my email and out of nowhere I felt two hands grab my shoulders and just sort of threw me to the ground, and they were yelling ‘Fuck you racist bitch, you support a racist party,'” Corn said.
She has reported the incident to Cornell police and the university’s Title IX office.
“I now walk with an alarm at all times. That’s pretty much my new normal. I don’t walk by myself after a certain time, once it gets dark. And that’s not something I should have to be concerned with,” Corn told The Tab. “I’m a college student, I’m just trying to get good grades, get to law school, keep my head down – besides being the head of an organization.
“It weighs in the back of my mind when I walk places now.”
She said it happened late at night and she never saw her attacker’s face, but that “I think the person knew who I was,” citing her position as president of the College Republicans, The Tab reports.
This incident also does not mark the first time she has been harassed for her Republican identity.
“People yell in my face all the time. I get random messages telling me what I should and should not be doing on Facebook, in my email,” Corn told the Voice. “I’ve had a history of people not liking me so much.”
She added that after she was quoted in a Cornell Daily Sun article in May saying she would vote for Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton, she received death threats.
Yep. There are hoaxes on both sides.
However, a raging, violent liberal is not too hard to believe.

No, meaning that you’re not entitled to a life without some hardship. I specifically said that the alleged assault is different and should be dealt with to the full extent of the law. However, she did sound like one of those “I deserve a safe space!” students with some of her remarks.

Racist has been misused so long and so often it no longer has meaning.
The difference (aside from sheer numbers of events) being that we reject any that we know to be from our side, while they embrace those from their side.

His cabinet picks are generally good to excellent. Obviously I expect Trump to deliver on a conservative agenda. If he delivers expect him to be reelected. If he goes squishy RINO conservatives may stay home next time.
But, for example, he picked Mr. Gay Boy Scouts for SoS. Social conservatism seems to play no part in his selection criteria.

She’s on a college campus! She absolutely should be able to walk safely alone at night. Students always use the library, go to classes and meetings, social gatherings, etc. at night on campus and have every right to assume they are safe. There are incidents, but they are and should be rare, especially in a small, upstate NY town and on a campus pretty much isolated from the town itself. This campus is not in the middle of NY or Chicago or Philadelphia or DC.
Nowhere did I see her asking to have a low profile. Obviously she knows she’s somewhat well known on campus. She referred to prior events of being attacked verbally, but not attacked physically and thrown to the ground because some sore loser didn’t like the outcome of an election that her guy won.
I expect conservative picks at least for the Supreme Court. Tillerson is far better than the utter crap that’s there now even though he’s pro pervert. He doesn’t buy into climate change BS. Is Trump perfect? No. But Trump is a winner and I expect he will make America great again.
