A POX ON POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!
My wife and I were shopping, a woman approaced and asked if I was ............., I said yes.
She said, “Is it true that you oppose blaks and white dating and marriage?”
I said, “Yes, that is true”.
She said, “Then you are a racist!”
I said, “Define racist.”
She walked away.
I said to my kids, “words have meanings, if you don’t know the meaning, don’t use the word.”
When a ghetto dweller spits in my food at the drive through, it is not all in my head.
There is a tremendous amount of paranoid people in this country. I have encountered many - blacks, Jews, gays - who think the KKK, the pogroms or the concentration camps are just around the corner. I have had friends and acquaintances who thought Reagan or Bush or Romney was going to intern them. I have heard it enough over the decades to see it is not recent. They actually believe this lunacy.
Overall, I think we are a neurotic society. Perhaps all human societies are that way, but I suspect that this is a modern problem. We worry about stuff that we don’t need to worry about. We worry about things we cannot control.
Why are you talking to me? Why are you not talking to me? What should I do about my neighbor? Do you think the boss hates me because I’m Jewish? Is the plumber charging me more because I’m black? Did my niece get rejected by Harvard because she’s white?
Our society is simply sick spiritually, morally, and psychologically.
Let go, and let God.
Was there not a similar concern with Bammy and would it not have continued if Shillary had been coronated?
In truth, you are a culturist. You do not favor the mingling of cultures because you know such co mingling very often (always) results in serious problems.
Therefore, it is best course for society to oppose but not prohibit such cultural co mingling.
These paranoid feelings arise because we’ve all seen what power there is in being a “victim.” If we can paint ourselves as some sort of social David versus the Goliath of convention, then we can gin up all kinds of artificial sympathy, which translates into power and influence.
It’s the card played by people like Sarah Brady and the Matthew Shepard supporters and the CAIRballs and BLM and the idiotic Indians in North Dakota ... The list is endless.
F*ck diversity
"Would you favor an immigration policy that would slowly but certainly result in the conversion of the United States to country that was majority Muslim?"
If he/she says NO then you can logically (the liberal version) accuse them of being racist.
If he/she says YES you will confirm everything you already know about the emptiness of liberal beliefs.
Years ago an acquaintance of mine told this story... she was a classic east coast liberal secular Jew. But she had enough sense to know that the world did not end at the Mississippi river so she got in her VW after graduation from college to drive by herself across the country, camping randomly. She ended up in South Dakota. In Sturgis. In a campground and in a couple of days it started filling up for the motorcycle rally. One night she’s in her tent, trying to sleep, determined to leave the next day. Down the row of tents she hears a man with a deep voice and a southern accent going from tent to tent asking, “Are there any Jews in there”? As he came down the row, this young east coast Jewish girl was asking herself whether she would confess her faith or hide in the back of her tent and fein sleep. She decided to confess her faith and when she did, the big biker with the southern accept said, “Good, a friend of ours died and we need a tenth to make a minyan to sit Shiva.”
I have a Type O Negative t-shirt with a cheery warning on the back:
DIVERSITY = DESTRUCTION
It’s one of my more obnoxious possessions.
:)
Well said!
Harvard scientist Robert Putnam found that diversity hurts civic life, reduces social trust, pushes tribalism / grouping when the minorities are large enough to form their own enclaves.
Too much diversity, and you get balkanization.
Diversity is over-rated if not outright dangerous. Better to start with pro-American citizens until we get our current diversity problem solved.
No, I would consider myself more a bible Literalist.
When in doubt err on the side of caution and conservative interpretation.
Brilliant!
