Newsweek senior political reporter Kurt Eichenwald is backing away from his report that supporters of Donald Trump booed when the president-elect eulogized the astronaut John Glenn at an Iowa rally Thursday night.
Eichenwald's retraction came three hours after the original message about jeering at the Trump rally.
"Trump supporters booed John Glenn when Trump mentioned his name at today's rally," Eichenwald wrote in the original tweet, which has now been deleted. "A real American hero risked his life for us. He got booed." The original message was retweeted more than 4,200 times and received 4,300 likes.
Footage of the event shows Trump supporters weren't booing Glenn, but instead heckling protesters at the scene in Des Moines who became disruptive.

Noted examples are the perceived slurs and insults reported against the Democrat Congressional Representatives who PARADED through the protestors and, most recently, when first reports about an attack at Ohio State University used the emergency catchall phrase of 'active shooter', Tim Kane immediately cites 'gun violence'!

The last time Newsweak did something similar reporting that the Koran was being flushed down the toilet in Guantanamo 23 mussies died in rioting in Pakistan or someplace around there.
Keating Five was small potatoes compared to Glenn’s shutdown of the Senate investigation of the Chinese campaign cash that Clinton exchanged for technology transfers that allowed communist China the ability to launch nuclear weapons and satellites.
Prior to that, they could not get anything off the ground without it blowing up or crashing.
Afterwards they could target every American city with nuclear weapons.

I didn’t start a new thread to address it.
One of our neighbors is a very conservative dentist, and he never ordered Newsweak or Slime, and threw them away when they came to his office.
His children now in their 40’s. By attending the local college, they got a home subscription to these two worthless magazines, and a NY Slime, Gay Frisco Rhoniclce and WSJ.
20 plus years later he still gets delivered to his home daily the NY Slimes and Gay Rhonicle and WSJ. Weekly in his mailbox a Slime and Newsweak appear.
He has never paid a penny for any of the above. He read the WSJ until their hit Trump pieces and polls came out. Now he throws all of it into big his blue recycle can with the other liberal junk. So much for these phoneys being green.
Another conservative Dentist on our block retired 10+ years ago. He used to throw away the never ordered free Newsweak/Slime and NY Slimes that came to his office. His office now with the 3 rd renter, since he retired still gets these worthless wasted of wood pulp. No one has ever paid a penny for any of the above wastes of paper.
How many people get subscriptions to these worthless wastes and have never paid for a single copy.
Isn’t that fraud on a large scale when the publishers set their ad copy rates based on fake subscriptions for their fake news.

I’m so glad the left started complaining about ‘fake’ news, it has created the perfect opportunity for EVERYBODY0 to talk about it. They didn’t seemed troubled about false reporting until they thought the right was getting away with it. They will wish they had never brought up the topic of fake news, each and every instance of it coming from the NYT, WaPo, HuffPo, et cetera, can now be thrown in their faces to show them for the double-standard they keep.
Retract. Apologize. Publish long retraction. Pay damages to aggrieved individuals. Resign.
