On Mondays broadcast of The Five, Fox News analyst Juan Williams stated that members of the media, most of whom are liberals are disappointed about Donald Trumps presidency, but that it is the job of people in the press to hold the powerful accountable and not be their friends.
When asked if he thought journalists are angry about a Trump presidency, Williams said, [relevant remarks begin around 4:20] I think theyre disappointed. If you want to know, I think most of them are liberals, if thats your point.
He continued, But, what youve got here, going back to Friday when Trump came out, right, Trump goes after the press, despicable, these people are liars. Theyre right back there. Weve got them in a pen, and then the crowd hoots and hollers. He calls them out by name, and he talks about an anchor crying at the election. You know, so, hes playing a game with the press. The troubling part of it is, you know, if you look at PolitiFact, its like 70% of his claims, not true. And people say, well, it doesnt matter. Its Donald Trump. its symbolic what he just said. Dont take him literally. But if youre in the press, your job is to hold powerful people accountable. Youre supposed to call them out every time. Youre not supposed to be their buddy, but Trump only wants buddies.

He thinks Trump wants “buddies”?
The hubris.....amazing.
I remember that night on FR. There was a lot of cheering for Juanita. I was not among them. NPR jettisoned a loser and Ailes, in a rare personnel misstep, rescued him.
...Juan is just playing the role Fox has given to him...
And that role is to show on a daily basis what Looney liberals are all about. A constant reminder. A butt of jokes. Comic relief. All you have to do to discombobulate a liberal is just ask questions based on facts. They stutter, give ridiculous answers, and sometimes melt down.
to the libs,
if you’re a failure at your job, YOU ARE A SUCCESS STORY!
and Fox wanted to appear sensitive or some other liberal BS.
Juan needs to get on board regarding Trump. He knows the truth. It will help him become relevant.
What great revelation! LOL
As my kid would say... “Uh-doy, Juan.”
Why oh why does Fox think it needs a Juan Williams when they have a perfectly good village idiot named Geraldo working for them?
LOL!
Forget waterboarding.....just lock any terrorist up with these three low-life creeps and he'll spill everything he knows within 10 minutes.
Does that Roginsky subversive shill ever sleep?
Leni
None of them are liberals. I wish people would stop calling leftists liberals.
Agreed!
Who the hell is she sleeping with?
She has pulled even with Megyn Kelly in the race for "Most Obnoxious FOX Female" thanks to her being on darn near every show, every day spinning her leftist views.
Juan, here’s a thought experiment for you: add up all negative remarks made about President Trump on CNN/MSNBC/ABC/CBS/NBC/NYT/WAPO/ETC since election night, and then add up all of their positive remarks about President Trump. Out of that total, what do you suppose the percentage of negative remarks is?
Now lets do the same count and percentage of negative remarks for President Obama during the 30 days after election night of his first term.
Now is THAT what you’re referring to as “if youre in the press, your job is to hold powerful people accountable. Youre supposed to call them out every time”? Is it?
No..., Juan, really? Never would have guessed. /s
....this azzhole does this all the time...he ignores it...argues it don’t exist....then admits it acting surprised.... BUT he’s been doing it for years...azzhole
Pot/kettle. I’m a racist.
“Duh? Does a bear xxxx in the woods?”
According to Juan, No!
If I remember right NPR let him go because he stood up for FNC and he worked there part time or was a consultant. Something like that. I do remember he got a raw deal from NPR and it was then I realized NPR were not the good guys at all.
That's the thing lib-progs do; they use flowery words and fake smiles to say one thing when they really mean another and they understand each other very well this way but those of us not in their lib-prog mindset (thank God!) are left out of their little inside joke. The more educated of them learn this way of speaking that sounds good until you actually hear what they are saying then you get they have just called you a horses ass in a really nice way with that fake smile. They think they are being really smart because they don't think we will catch on. I call them on it every single time.
