Based on Absolutely Nothing, New York Times Frets Over Carson Nomination to HUD

Today's installment of "We're Doomed, We're Doomed!" comes via The New York Times regarding the nomination of Dr. Ben Carson to head up the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Big-city mayors and housing experts are nervous about the idea of a billionaire real estate developer in the White House. Now President-elect Donald J. Trump has picked Ben Carson, a retired neurosurgeon with no housing experience, as his nominee for secretary of Housing and Urban Development — and high anxiety has set in.

As The Times’s Mid-Atlantic bureau chief, I have spent a lot of time in Baltimore, Cleveland and Philadelphia, which are all run by Democrats. In those cities, and many others across the country, housing concerns are deeply intertwined with other poverty-related issues, including racial tensions with the police.

So they're worried about the real estate guy AND the guy who has no housing experience.

So, apparently chuckee schmuckee and pee-lousy don't think that this "boy" knows enough to run HUD. If the roles were reversed and say, hildabeast picked, oh, van jones to run HUD and McConnel and Ryan called him out. Well, that would be racis' to the nth degree. In this case.....meh.

One of my black employees grew up in public housing in the South Bronx. He was thrilled to hear that Carson is now in charge of HUD! He told me all about the nightmares of living in the projects. No heat, no running water or toilets, there was even an incident where an 82 year old grandmother had to keep a bucket to go to the bathroom in because the super wouldn't fix her toilet. The city of New York did nothing except try to evict her and throw her in an institution and they killed her in the process.

Another incident, this 29 year old grandmother got thrown out of the window because she wouldn't loan her 15 year old daughter money for crack.

I could go on. I am just so glad He's in charge. He needs to clean things up and drain the swamp!

He is a Harvard lawyer who became mayor of San Antonio at age 26. So, lots of life experience there....
