Cheney To CNN's Barbara Starr: Trump Took Us To Point Where We Don't Need You Guys Anymore
RCP ^ | 4/12/2016 | Ian Schwartz

I think one of the reasons people get so concerned about the tweets is it is sort of a way around the press. He doesn't have to rely upon, uh, rely upon -- this is the modern era, modern technology. He's at the point where we don't need you guys anymore.

I hope Trump finds a position for Liz Cheney.

WHAT IS GAB? (posted 11/18/2016)

Thus far the social network is in closed beta. Torba says it has about 56,000 users along with a waitlist of over 120,000. When Gab first launched in August, it got a little bit of press. But with the election now over there seems to be renewed interest in the platform. Torba tells me that this past Tuesday was the biggest day the site has seen for signups, with more than 5,000 people showing interest in that 24-hour period alone.

Dick Cheney is no doubt, one of the best and most decent of leaders for the past 5 decades. He is, a man for Americans.

That’s it in a nutshell and the media is trying desperately, with it’s last gasping, dying breaths, to stay relevant.

Cheney’s words have to smart.

He is often clear thinking and clear thinking. You can see why the press hated him so.

Is he right in what he says? I hope so.

...there is no longer a need to sit in front of that talking box or wait for the paperboy to drop yesterday’s news in the driveway.

Yes, so long as I get my daily fix of FR and Trump's tweets.

There's great efficiency visiting FR, rather than reading all these adware-infested news sites whose aim is not to inform, but to teach the "manifesto" and steer you to the latest Kardashian pics.

The comradeship, intelligent comments, and wit of vetted conservatives is also precious.  (Though I sometimes enjoy seeing an idiot or troll get flamed.)

FR also broadens your horizons.  If you only read the WaPo or TownHall, you would never know what deplorables really think.  And I'm convinced: hearing the FR "street chatter" trains the ear for become a better writer.

When the New York Times publishes something unbiased, that's truly rare.  But to be honest, they do stoop to journalism on occasion :- )

What good is a “news media” that can’t be trusted and has zero credibility. Those ***holes live in their own world and have no clue about what is going on in the real world.

But I don’t think an actual [TEA] party existed. I am hard put to name a spokesman who had an office rented under the name Tea Party...

Jenny Beth Martin would probably disagree with you.

But, IMHO, she's more about the money than Conservatism. A paragraph from the Wikipedia article:

I think about that every time she sends me an email begging for money.

Twitter is fun. Trump’s tweets and Bill Mitchell’s are pretty good. There are some cutting edge people on there.

I’ll say it: TEA PARTY.

I’ll say I’m proud to call myself a Tea Partier.

I mostly hear the term when the MSM is sneering at people like us. I’m not so sure that any “official” tea party exists now or ever did, but that is the beauty of the Tea Party. To me, it represented the power of the individual to take back our governement, our rights, and most of all our freedoms. We took a giant leap in that direction on election day.

Hillary Tweeted a lot more than Trump did before the election... but the media never said a thing about her Tweeting.

Dick is right. Trump has intermediated to press using social media. He took his Thanksgiving blessing to You Tube and we all watched. The media is now relegated to reposting his tweets. That way they can’t change what is said. This was a historic rebuke the dishonest media. It forces them to be fair and honest like FOX or they get ZIP. It was real cheap to do it. I get Trump tweets everyday. There are 30 million of us and growing 100,000 a day ( if you want to know what is going on). I watch Msnbc and CNN for schadenfreude. I get giddy with glee. We don’t need them ever again. I can’t even imagine paying for a paper. Ha!!

Yes I think the Tea Party deserves a lot of credit. So does the GOP. So does Donald Trump. Perhaps all in equal measure.

Noteworthy also are changing times, changing media, etc.. Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge, FoxNews, Freerepublic, the internet, twitter, etc. Opportunities grew to get around the MSM. Brave, smart people chose to circumvent the MSM.
