Internal emails show that city and state officials blame a North Carolina law limiting LGBT protections for a companys decision to pick another state for a new project that includes 700 jobs.
The Charlotte Observer reports it obtained emails showing the law known as HB2 was cited as a key factor in CoStar Groups decision not to put its hub in Charlotte.

Money versus child safety and guess which wins? This whole fight over who gets to use which bathroom is ridiculous. You are what you are, so use the appropriate restroom.
The businesses are “open to everyone.” It is a LIE to say that this law somehow closes them off to sexual minorities. What it does is keep boys out of your teenage daughter’s locker room at school.
Agreed. Anyone saying anything different is an idiot.
Enabling people with sexual disorders is doing them no favors either.
We used to dream about going to the moon. Now we dream about mutilated men using the womens room.
So, why don't they try for convincing a homosexual pornography studio to move into the middle of downtown Charlotte?
Maybe they could invoke Kelo v New London and take the Billy Graham Library under eminent domain. They could tear it down, build a bonfire with the wood, have a 'gay pride' parade (complete with public sex) to dedicate the site, and then build their porn studio on site. Surely that would bring NC some more jobs!
I mean, why don't they just dedicate the entire state to Satan? Maybe that would bring jobs, too.
Unless they go to states that force them to have special bathrooms for men in dresses or they willingly build them on their own accord, they are hypocrites.
You are deceived. There is a cost to every decision, both a decision to NOT pass this law and a decision to pass it. The left will have us believe that passing perverted laws has NO cost associated with it, but they are just lying as usual.
Don’t believe the lies promoted by the left. NC will be just fine if they stand firm. I hope Texas does the same.
If it were only mutilated men, few would care. However, the Charlotte law, as well as the Federal Department of Education's rule, requires that any male be admitted to women's facilities if he declares that his "gender" is feminine.
He does not have to have any surgery. He does not have to take any medications. He does not have to dress or in any way appear as female. The ONLY criterion is whether he states that he is feminine.
(It is notable that nobody is concerned about harms resulting from women, of any description, going in the men's room.)
That said, I believe the state government in NC, where I live, should have let Charlotte, near which I live, stew in its own perverted juice, pour encourager les autres.
