Three months since the Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics, the marvelous city, as its known, is unraveling. The state of Rio is broke. It hasnt been able to pay its bills since long before the games. A federal bailout kept police on the streets and hospitals open while Olympics tourists were in town. But now the money has dried up, and public employees arent being paid.

But but but.... hosting the olympics was suppose to be a boon to the economy...

I never want to see the Olympics ever held here. It is a waste of money.

The Olympics are not worth it. Maybe it was a stroke of genius for Chicago to get Obama behind their Olympic bid. Obama’s support is the kiss of death, thereby saving Chicago’s financial a$$.

But but but.... hosting the olympics was suppose to be a boon to the economy.. Of course not.
What they should have done instead is to build a bullet train hundreds of miles long. Look what it's already doing for Cali... uh-oh, wait. That doesn't work either.

I could cry for them. Especially my adopted family. Just painful to watch them destroy themselves. Such a beautiful place yet such unfathomable misery and most of it they caused themselves.

Maybe it was a stroke of genius for Chicago to get Obama behind their Olympic bid. Obamas support is the kiss of death, thereby saving Chicagos financial a$$. It would have been nice to have a huge home field advantage in the shooting events like trap shooting, the marathon or the 240 km bike road race

I suppose Rio could be considered marvelous...
