The Olympics are not worth it. Maybe it was a stroke of genius for Chicago to get Obama behind their Olympic bid. Obama’s support is the kiss of death, thereby saving Chicago’s financial a$$.
It would have been nice to have a huge home field advantage in the shooting events like trap shooting, the marathon or the 240 km bike road race
Chicago is already broke, and has been for years. Actually the entire State of Illinois is bordering on being bankrupt. If Chicago had won the Summer Olympics bid it would be even further down the rat hole. Look at the teachers union and municipal employees unfunded liabilities are killing the state coffers
