During the presidential campaign, Republican Donald Trump said he would not cut Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid, but no matter.
Sen. Chuck Schumer, the next Senate minority leader, on Tuesday warned that Republicans are “plotting a war on seniors.”
The New York Democrat said he was “so disappointed” that Trump has nominated Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) to be his Health and Human Services secretary. “When it comes to issues like Medicare, the Affordable Care Act and Planned Parenthood, Congressman Price and the average American couldn’t be further apart,” Schumer told a news conference on Capitol Hill. …

Seniors don't use Planned Parenthood, and all Obamacare did for seniors was steal hundreds of billions from Medicare. What a dumbass.

After they finish off the seniors I'm sure they will take on gun owners and small business people. If they have any voter base left after that, all rural residents will be rounded up and shot.

Damn. I just had a birthday and am now two years into senior citizenship. And now the pubbies are going to have a war against me. That really sucks!
This is not wise post election talk. We will have two years to see if he is right. The time to make such claims is before the election.

Moments before the start of the call, Schumer — not aware that many of the reporters were already on the line — went into spin doctor mode, instructing his fellow senators on how to talk to the media about the federal budget. "I always use the word extreme," Schumer told Sens. Barbara Boxer, Benjamin Cardin, Thomas Carper and Richard Blumenthal. "That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week."
