This was to be Tony’s signature song, and he recorded it several times for various labels. This is his 1949 recording. He had a wonderful baritone voice that could turn tenor and sotto voce without effort. The way he caresses the high C near the end is beautiful.

Last Tuesday, we had a nice Pub Night, but Thanksgiving Feasting precluded any further gigging this week! :-)
