I use herbal medicine, natural supplements and such but I always remember that at the dosage I am take it at, I am taking a drug.

I add in one thing at a time and keep a close eye out for any symptoms that are out of the ordinary.

Turmeric is a no-no for my husband, it caused irregular heartbeat.

It does me no harm but I am seeing no improvement either so after I finish my three month test I am going to stop.

I am also one of those weird people who looks up all drug interactions when I am placed on something.

My last antibiotic (bronchial pneumonia) was not to be taken within two hours of taking my calcium and magnesium. No problem, a small adjustment.

When I mentioned it to my doctor he asked if the pharmacy had told me there might be a problem. I said no, I just did my normal research.

He wishes all his patients would do that.

HTB is right. Daily use of turmeric is not recommended. You can build a resistance quickly. Temporary use for inflammation is the best use.

I don’t use Tumeric. I was just saying there was a TV report saying all the (supposed benefits) which I don’t believe most of the stuff they say.

Most of the stuff they claim is a bunch of low quality baloney.

But it does work for some things in some cases.

So in that it is like any other medication. :)

And with your statement you assign culpability without liability in the impaired health and disease of millions of Americans.

Your cavalier attitude reflects a bias toward those in the medical field rather than the public’s right to be treated without conflict of interest.

Blaming the patient with ‘assumption of risk’ without the patient being properly advised as to the facts of either their condition or the adverse health effects of their medication is a violation of the Hippocratic Oath and basic ethics.

Shameful.

Sorry, I expressed nothing of the sort. I merely commented on the facts of the state of [litigious, government- and insurance-run] medicine today, as well as society's attitudes.

I think you may have misinterpreted or misunderstood my comment.

Perhaps, but my position is that doctors which do as you suggest violate not only the ethical standards of their profession, but the public trust as well.

This is a multifaceted national public health disaster unfolding and our doctors are significant contributing factors.

There is simply no rationalization. People MUST seek out alternative medical care and stop feeding this perverted establishment we refer to as ‘healthcare’.

My advice to all: Find a naturopath. Your life might depend on it someday in ways you may never come to comprehend.

In ways in not going to get into here, it truly is Conservative to do so. A ‘mandate,’ if you will...
