"I don't see any way in the world that Mitt Romney would have a cabinet position in the Donald Trump administration," the former Arkansas governor told Uma Pemmaraju on Fox News...
"It would really not so much be an insult to Donald Trump," he said. "It would be an insult to the supporters of Donald Trump, who went out there and faithfully stood behind Donald Trump, to give a guy a job who basically said all those supporters were following a con man.
"That would be an insult to the voters..."
"We had a far-reaching conversation with regards to the various theaters in the world where there are interests of the United States of real significance," Romney told reporters after leaving the meeting. "We discussed those areas and exchanged our views on those topics."
He called it a "very thorough and in-depth discussion in the time we had.
"I appreciate the chance to speak with the president-elect and look forward to the coming administration."
Romney walked away as reporters shouted questions.

Do the Trumps have dogs? Hell, I will donate one to them. Romney can be the Secretary Of Pooper Scoopers.

Bingo!
And, with this unsolicited advice via the public I suspect he just disqualified himself from becoming a Trump appointee.
Shaken....And in the wrong direction!!!....lol...”Wrong-Way Romney” (see the vid)
Mitt was a doubting Thomas.
Trump tries not to shut off the opportunity to make nice.
Huckabee spoke for me and I really appreciate him saying it.
I actually felt better about Romney, not getting a cabinet position, after listing to Huckabee explain the unlikelihood of Trump giving someone so disloyal that high of an honor.
Huckabee has given some great interviews lately.
He told Trump that he wasn’t angling for a job at all, he just wants to support Trump and his administration in the best possible way.
I honestly don’t think Trump needs to be told much about Mittens. Let’s not forget that Trump has operated on the periphery of these folks for decades. He knows politicians are generally a bunch of back stabbing snakes.
No. I think Trump knows exactly what’s up. He’s going to have to cooperate and build a coalition with moderates. The executive branch can’t do it all on its own. Trump needs allies, and I think he’s making tactical moves to build power.
The difference is hopefully clear. We want moderates reaching across the aisle towards the right, not the other way around. For example, Trump can propose a radical change and then bargain for something less. That’s worked well for the left for decades. Now it’s time to them to reach across to US.
True that. It has a place in the style that has brought him success.
OH my I was not getting upset with you in any way sorry I didn’t mean for it to be yelling at you I was just emphasizing words!!!
Yesterday, we were told Huckabee was going to be ambassador to Israel; that story wasn’t true.
Daily Caller is pretty good but if there is no truth to the rumor, they’ve really jumped the shark.
There may be no truth to this at all.
Wasn’t his daugher ?
Whew! Thanks! :^D
Romney is a poisonous, back stabbing, Uniparty, socialist.
Romney is the money behind Paul Ryan. He owns Paul Ryan.
By taking Romney under his wings, Trump will own them both.
Nah ... they won’t stay under his wings.
For everyone, Bolton and Huckabee were both guests (not at the same time) on Judge Jeannine’s show tonight and both basically said these same things.
Her show repeats in about 40 minutes I think.
So, Huckabee was being interviewed, maybe not giving advice, just being asked about it.
And what? Huckabee’s daughter was part of the Trump campaign (pretty sure).
And so people adjuring Trump to give Mitt a cold shoulder no matter what, may also irritate Trump.
BINGO!
Loud & clear message.
