Archbishop of Canterbury: Time to stop saying Isil has ‘nothing to do with Islam’
The Telegraph ^ | November 18, 2016 | By John Bingham

Posted on 11/18/2016 6:56:59 PM PST by Brad from Tennessee

Claims that the atrocities of the Islamic State have “nothing to do with Islam” are harming efforts to confront and combat extremism, the Archbishop of Canterbury has insisted.

Religious leaders of all varieties must “stand up and take responsibility” for the actions of extremists who profess to follow their faith, the Most Rev Justin Welby said.

He argued that unless people recognise and attempt to understand the motivation of terrorists they will never be able to combat their ideology effectively.

It follows calls from a series of high profile figures for people to avoid using the term Islamic State – also known as Isil, Isis and Daesh – because, they say, its murderous tactics go against Islamic teaching and that using the name could help legitimise the group’s own propaganda. . .

Ohhhhh this isn’t Islamic. Official Mainstream Islam wants to do this to you TOMORROW. Not TODAY... they’re exposing Islam’s intentions too soon, too little taqqiya!

Note that “Isil” was not quoted as being said in the article, and that only the serious Hussein-worshippers and “their” Republicans, and the other Israel-intolerant use the term “Isil” (or ISIL), or Daesh, as short-termer Kerry prefers.

Saying ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) has nothing to do with Islam is like saying Catholic Schools have nothing to do with Catholicism.

ISIS is practicing Islam exactly as Mad Mo did when he was alive and as he directed them to in their book.
Islam has always been a barbaric war plan for world domination.
They have bee at war with the rest of humanity since 622 A.D.
The Koran says there can be no peace until there is only Islam.

Or no Islam.

Extirpation of Islam is necessary for any possibility of peace.

Here's the breakdown on the name of ISIS: Arabic name for ISIS: al-Dawlat al-I(A)slamiyyah fi-l Eraq w ash-Sham)

ISIS: Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, the contemporary usage

ISIL: Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (roughly Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan), a more literal English translation for the Arabic name

Daesh: the Arabic acronym equivalent for ISIL; disliked by ISIS as it views the acronym as derogatory, used by many Iraqi people and Arab news outlets

I hope this clears up any confusion or any misguide thoughts that alternate names are any less qualifying for ISIS.

Thanks, no confusion at all here!

Hussein and his followers and his Republicans NEVER refer to them as “ISIS”, only as ISIL, just as they insist on calling Jerusalem “al qudz”.

But it’s true that Islam has nothing to do with ISIL, just listen to the experts.

After the 9-11-2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and on the Pentagon killed 2977 in America, the mainstream media assured us that Islam had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of peace.

After the 2004 Beslan attacks on a school in Russia killed 750 children, the mainstream media assured us that Islam had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of peace.

After the 2008 Mumbai attacks in India killed 164, the mainstream media assured us that Islam had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of peace.

After the 1998 truck bomb attacks on our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania killed 200, the mainstream media assured us that Islam had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of peace.

After the 2004 Spanish train attacks killed 190, the mainstream media assured us that Islam had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of peace.

After the Paris, London, Orlando, San Bernardino, Boston Marathon, and all the other 29,000-plus attacks since 9-11, the mainstream media assured us that Islam had nothing to do with Islamic terrorism. Islam is a religion of peace.

____________________________________________________________

With all that reassurance of Islam’s peaceful nature, why is this still even questioned?
