Liberal butt-hurt continues.
Davidson. Have you ever stopped to realize that all that gold and glitter just might NOT be gilt?
They can go around another way, like ordinary human beings.
So you have to show your ID to get to your apartment. Big Whoop.
You are probably in the of the most secure places in the US right now.
Having driven through it I can say that Chappaqua is quite nice and it's just a five minute flight from Manhattan.
Would you blame ANYONE for being "safe than sorry" for the time being?

Standing by for story on Obama’s new house in DC causing mayhem
IMHO: I would feel better with him at Trump Towers than in ‘sewer city’...who knows what ‘bugs’ are planted in the White House, the V.P. digs; anywhere they go, nope I say keep the White House for tours for the people, it is their home anyway...
I think Trump can govern from Trump Towers and let the V.P. stay in a different home in Washington D.C. that way they are away from each other, but in constant contact with everyone they need to be communicating with...it’s a helicopter ride from the Top of Trump Towers to Washington D.C. anyway...
Trump has said he isn’t going to be going on any vacations, and I think he feels a lot safer in New York, it really doesn’t matter where the President is, he is still the President...
As far as that section of New York, look at how safer it would be for the citizens and businesses there, and if it hurts the ‘butt hurt’ mayor so be it...leave, they don’t like you anyway...
And Clinton held up an airport for a haircut - funny how these folks are so concerned about the rich folks living in Trump accommodations - the spit hasn’t even dried off them yet.....
Calling Trump’s penthouse and ‘apartment’ is like calling an aircraft carrier a dingy.............
I’ve been walking past Trump Tower every day since the election. The inconvenience is greatly exaggerated. Also, the residents of Trump Tower are now living in probably the safest private building in the entire world!
I used to live and work in three areas that, at times, had a heavy police surveillance / secret service presence. When some big political or diplomatic event happened, there were security protocols that you had to follow to get into work or my apartment. It wasn’t that big of a deal. These babies need to grow up.
This lefty writer is obviously historically and geographically "challenged." FDR spent his childhood on his parents' estate at Hyde Park, NY, which is about 90 miles north of NYC on the Hudson River and to this day would be considered a rural area.
The last, and possibly only, "New York City kid" to become president would be FDR's distant cousin Teddy.
The author needs to talk to the citizenry who live out West. Especially ranchers.
Apparently Trump is not going to be able to fully use the White House for a year because Obama didn’t want to be inconvenienced by security updates during his eight years. Who wants to be hanging around the house while it is under construction. So I guess President Trump can govern from anywhere he wants. If Obama can do it from Hawaii, the golf course and around the world, Trump can do it from his permanent residence.
Wait. You mean New York magazine doesn’t even know what “inner city” means?
This is why Bush bought a ranch in the middle of nowhere. The media hated when Bush spent weeks at his ranch, but the Secret Service loved it.
What the writer doesn’t realize is that before long every street that borders the Trump Tower will be closed off.
Left calls for violence against President elect then complains about security. It really IS a mental disorder.
