One gunman went to two employees at the counter while the other directed his attention to the customer, a local businessman on his way home, police said. The customer put up his hands, but the robber knocked him to the ground and hit him with his handgun.
The customer then pulled his registered Glock pistol and fired when the gunman turned around with his weapon pointed at the customer, police said. He then fired at the second bandit.

Was the glock single fire? there was no mention of semiautomatic.
“...registered Glock pistol. Registered...”
Yeah, it was “registering” holes in the two perps. Just have to define “registered.”
The PA state police have an ILLEGAL registry of handguns. Information is supposed to be destroyed after a given time, they they have it. Hope that Trump fixes illegal things such as this.
They can advertise that their pizza is so good "it's to die for."
Agreed. The reporter completely overlooked all the important details other than the make of the gun. What caliber and model Glock? I mean, what kind of ammo was the guy using? Hornaday, Remmington white box, that new Colt SCHP stuff, what?
What are they teaching in J School these days?
Probably meant CCW.
Of course the PA State Police have been keeping an illegal database of NICS checks.
PA Supreme Court said destroy it, the SP said FU.
I live in Bucks county and have a Bucks county issued CCW.
Basically if you carry a gun it should be one that you purchased in PA, simply because though we do not have registration requirements, there is registration at time of sale and some localities will confiscate a handgun that does not come up in the owners name. In that case you will be required to prove ownership.
Many years ago I was told by a State police detective whose primary area was tracing auto theft rings that he records are only computerized back to 1970, as such any sale in PA prior to that time (sheriffs approval required since 1934) will not show up in the computer. Reasonable policemen will not take your father 45 if it does not come up on the system, or you are a C&R holder (those guns do not go through the sales check either). But if you had a Glock (sold since 1980) and it does not come up in a check as being sold to you, and you do not have a story such as you bought it when a resident of another state, the policeman is likely to confiscate it pending some resolution of the legal status of the gun. All depends on the locality.
Because of that, a wise man would not carry a pistol or revolver in PA unless you bought it directly, it is just the wise thing to do.
So what the reporter meant was the gun was purchased legally by the owner in PA. Nothing more.
So if I were traveling in PA with my valid AZ carry permit, which is also valid in PA, and carrying my old five year old LCP, that I bought from a guy who bought it from a guy, etc. as a backup gun and I had an interaction with law enforcement they could confiscate my weapon?
Good shooting, citizen!
I’ve had a Bucks permit for 20 plus years and have never EVER heard of a cop confiscating a gun not bought in PA. Either you have a permit or you don’t. I’ve been stopped for traffic violations while carrying, carrying a pistol I’d bought out of state and there were no issues whatsoever. The cop never asked where I’d gotten the gun.
If the cop is suspicious of the gun, they can run a national database check to see if the gun is reported stolen. If it isn’t, they have zero probable cause to take it and would be slapped with a lawsuit if they did. This sounds like an old wives tale to me. If it’s not, I’d invite the OP to provide a source
