One gunman went to two employees at the counter while the other directed his attention to the customer, a local businessman on his way home, police said. The customer put up his hands, but the robber knocked him to the ground and hit him with his handgun.

The customer then pulled his registered Glock pistol and fired when the gunman turned around with his weapon pointed at the customer, police said. He then fired at the second bandit.

"....registered Glock pistol." Registered? WTH? Must be a PA thing. In any case, a good ending. Sadly, the uninformed have been led to believe that guns must be registered. The forces of evil keep pushing crap like this to get the uninformed used to the idea so when some assclown proposes a registration scheme ignos approve of it.

Sounds to me like a happy ending, too bad one is still alive just going to cost taxpayers.

1. This is PA - YOU DON’T REGISTER YOUR GUNS IN PA

2. PA is a SHALL ISSUE CCW State (2 weeks + $45)

3. PA is VERY gun friendly

4. I hate reporters who can’t do the basic research

Could also be wanker journo-speak for “lawful owner” so that his pearl clutching readership doesn’t think it wasn’t just a couple of outlaws involved in a shootout.

WHAT? A urinalist who didn’t do his homework? Or, is it just more of the typical false info to sooth the ignos. Is Philly a city where registration is reqd? Vegas used to have a registration requirement but that got overturned I believe. Of course now the dems control the senate and assembly in NV so things may go to crap again. Do we trust Sandoval? Not really.

Not a PA thing. Just the reporter getting confused. He probably meant the owner had a CC permit. Which it turns out was expired. But the DA just said to renew it and no fine for being expired “due to the circumstances.”

...registered Glock pistol.” Registered...

Another report says the customer’s carry permit had recently expired. Surprisingly enough, he didn’t get charged with “illegal carry” because of the incident. But, police “urged” citizens to avoid violence and “vigilant” acts. Another WTH.

21st Century journalism - truth and facts don't matter as long as the story line fits the (leftist) ideology.

You know, their attitude towards law and order, good and evil, was inculcated into their minds by the time they were two years old. SOMEONE taught them that...mama, grandma, all the women in those families. Their male role model, probably in prison.
What a life. They need an infusion of SAVING GRACE.

All the cop TV shows going back to the '60s talk about a gun being 'registered to...' so-and-so. That's where a lot of the indoctrination comes from.

Author probably deliberately used 'registered' rather than 'licensed'.

When I renewed my permit a couple of years ago, the lady told me that if my new permit didn't arrive before the old one expired, just open carry in the interim. I didn't have to do that, it arrived in time.

I guess no one told them that the last for letters of AMERICAN are I CAN. Americans consider WORK the only way to live. I did.

According the article, the restaurant owner is Guatemalan and said something very cool along the lines that this was a “nice” neighborhood, and he was going to work to keep it that way. No mention of the ethnicity of the dead perp. Hmmm.

What, no Mafia? They would never let that happen. Only an idiot would rob a protected store. Oh wait, these guys WERE idiots. One DRT, the other circling the drain.

Robbers are idiots. They will end up in prison where they will rot. Sad waste of a human soul.

Great story with a happy ending to start off the holiday week yet the dipstick writer can’t be bothered to properly understand details about licensed firearm carry. Bet the journ-O-list just about creamed its panties to recount the detail on the license being recently expired.
