The MSM Savaging of Melania Trump Begins
American Thinker ^ | November 17, 2016 | Carol Brown

Posted on 11/17/2016 6:16:57 AM PST by detective

The media attack against Trump and all things Trump-related continues apace, eager to seize on anything to paint him (or his family or his advisors) in a bad light. And so, a piece at Yahoo News made an issue of a dress that Melania Trump recently wore. The headline read: “Melania Trump Wore a $1,655 Fiery Red Dress for 60 Minutes Interview.”

FWIW, she can pick a way to do something, and stick with it. As long as they are clean, formal, and not worn-out, it works.

***But it’s difficult to take these positions seriously when the people taking them engage in the very lifestyles they claim to abhor. Take for example Michelle Obama, who wore a $12,000 Carolina Herrera designer gown to the state dinner earlier this week. Just a few weeks before the dinner, President Obama argued income inequality is a major problem facing our America. CNSNews noticed the cost of her dress is more than the average household income worldwide.***

I am calling it Beck’s Syndrome ( or B.S. for short).
Named after “conservative” talk show host Glenn Beck.
Someone with B.S. usually suffers from a unhealthy obsession/preoccupation with someone they dislike for mostly petty reasons.
They spend an inordanent time trying to convince others to see the target of their disdain as they do.
Even go so far as to pay people to agree with them.

Melanie just needs to ignore it and carry on. The Mooch has worn very expensive clothes and we know that she probably couldn't afford them. Melanie can and yes, I think the attacks will backfire. If the media had been criticizing the mooch all these years too, they may have some credibility but the haven't.

Melania would look good in anything. And the reason she can afford expensive dresses and jewelry is because Trump made a fortune in real estate, not because of pay to play connections and free gifts because she’s married to the president.

Well, he will poke fun of and point out the dirt on the media, he already does point them out on twitter feed.

It’s far past time for a “Project Veritas” on the MSM. Everybody with a camera should record any media folks they see in public. The age of the alphabet networks controlling the information are over.

What’s the difference between Melania and Michelle buying expensive clothes?
Melania pays for her clothes.
We pay for Michelle’s.

The difference is Melania’s dress wasn’t paid for by taxes.

Yep. Brilliant idea. They should show up to something in a T-Shirt and pair of jeans from WalMart. Make sure they're American-Made.

They'd be fine, but I'm sure that reporters would call them "disrespectful of other countries" or something.

Good bet she paid for it herself, which is more than can be said for the Demo grifters who have occupied the WH before.

$1,655 is a lot for a dress?

It's a hell of a lot more than Mrs. Mountain would ever pay ... but at the high end of 'fashion' for rich people it's peanuts.

I think they’re actually accusing her of dressing “on the cheap”, for wearing something that cost less than $10K.

Not to speak of the LSM time spent with Photoshop.

Of course a billionaire’s wife is going to have nice clothes.

She can’t win. If she wore an off-the-rack $40 dress from JC Penney, the press would be denouncing her “dowdiness”.

She could wear a million dollar dress, as long as it's not taxpayer money I'm OK with it.
Pray she can stay strong for the next 8 years.

One of Mooch’s gowns ran $12,000. Not a lot for couture, but who paid for it? Or was it a gift? If the latter, does that run afoul of gift prohibition?

Yes, Nancy was attacked by the press about everything.

There have been unfair and not so nice remarks about Michelle which were unacceptable, also.

But, I think Melania will be in for a non-stop attack. They will be critical of her clothes and her accent...and more. I also fear that they will somehow find some very revealing modeling photos and use them constantly in the press.

But, I know she is aware that all of this will happen, and she will weather it through. She will be a wonderful First Lady.
