I say we up the ante! I say that humans may be wiped out in 1,000 years even after they find a new planet!
Hawking sees the symptom. He has not diagnosed the problem correctly; i.e., the depths of the depravity of the human soul as it rebels against and flees from its creator. See Romans 1.
Sometime in our lifetime we will all die and then we will be judged by Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hawkings is usually wrong., How he ever got to be famous is a mystery.

I think people will be turning it into all sorts of structures in the next 100, 500, or 2000 years.
I will not be here in 1,000 years. Why should I care about what happens in 1,000 years? ROFL
I suspect the Lord will return before that happens.
Frankly, I honestly don’t know how we can keep our “humanity” for another 50 years with the rate of technological discovery and change continuing to exponentially grow.
I figure immortality will be a walk in the park by then as well.
That can easily be done. No problemo for a species that can create its own glowbull cooling, errr... I mean glowbull warming.... er, I meant climate change.
Humans won’t last more than 1,000 years on Earth? What makes Hawking think the space colony will last any longer? There will be the same problems there plus more.
Show me any planet that is one tenth as favorable to human life as the Earth will be if the worst predictions of the bunnyhuggers comes true.
He is finally correct! In a thousand years, after the Millennial Kingdom YHWH creates New Heavens and an New Earth!
The other option is to never elect another Bush,Clinon or Obama...ever!

Who needs planets?? Soon we will be building space habitats capable of supporting humans indefinitely. The only thing a planet really supplies are gravity and lots of room. Gravity is replaceable by spin, and a multilayer habitat can quickly match any surface area desired.
Stephen Hawking, you are in luck. The Lord will create a new Heaven and Earth for all of his followers.

Hawking aspires to be a visionary, but has only achieved the rank of kook.
Well, give him credit, he is smarter than the global warming false prophets, he at least made it so he can’t be disproven in his own lifetime :)
Hawking has been dead for 25 years. He’s a mummified body in a wheelchair. His talking computer is speaking for him.
No way are we going to find a new planet.
