Ted has proven that he cannot be much of a politician. My bet is SCOTUS. Ted does not have the skill to be A.G.

Trump could be recruiting him for position (which would be fine) or just coordinating on strategy and asking for Cruz’s help in the Senate. In any event - at this point - the primary battles are long over and they both are about the business of changing the status quo.

Trump could use Cruz as a lightning rod during transition period. There is going to be a budget fight before January. It's time for Cruz to do his grand standing.
Cruz stays in the Senate.
Perhaps he could help succeed in shutting down the government until Trump is in to approve a budget?
The establishment intends to leave a mess for Trump to come in and deal with.

I am torn on the idea of Cruz on the Supreme Court.
I do believe he is a strong conservative.
But I also believe he is personally dishonest.
How would those two characteristics play out over a lifetime on the court?
Is his conservatism worth the risk?

My gut tells me you shouldn’t waste a Supreme Court pick on Cruz. He’ll be worse than Roberts and twice as squirrelly.
