A Cruz spokeswoman released a statement about the visit.
She said Cruz, who ultimately backed Trump, was there visiting with President-elect Donald Trump to help him achieve his goal: to “drain the swamp...”

It doesn’t matter whether Eleanor or Rafael Cruz voted during the period that she was a Canadian citizen.
She was on the rolls because the Provincial Elections Supervisor of Alberta, Canada approved her placement on the voting roll as a Canadian citizen. Her name and Rafael’s names were printed in the area newspaper and publicly posted 60 days prior to each election.
She was interviewed at their home in Calgary, declared her Canadian citizenship, presented ID, confirmed her permanent address and her occupation / status. After this interview process, the information was verified at the Provincial Elections Office. Eleanor and Rafael Cruz were placed on the voting rolls which consisted of 100% Canadian citizens eligible to vote (over age 18.)
One who is born in Canada to Canadian citizens (a Cuban-expat and an American expat) is a natural born Canadian citizen.

I like him because he’s non-pretentious and is close to my opinion on so many things, especially the border. He used to guest on Fox a lot until they canned him for being too strong on borders. Then he had his own show on NewsMax, but they fired him on-air when he wouldn’t read the script they wrote for him (i.e., hedge the truth/lie for the producers). He knew it was going to happen ahead of time and said as much on a FB Live video before the NewsMax show, but he still defended his principles, knowing he’d get fired. (It was low-drama; if not, I would’ve thought he was an attention-hog).
He likes Trump, but he doesn’t adulate over him and would tactfully point out stuff during the campaign that Trump could do better. I’m kind of hoping Trump will use him somehow, but we’ll see.

Bingo. Cruz has proven not to be a conservative but an opportunist. I have no intention of forgiving him. He taints the name of Christ while lying scheming etc. He would be a Judas on SCOTUS.
What was it someone said when asked why people immediately hate Cruz? “It saves time”.
