A Cruz spokeswoman released a statement about the visit.
She said Cruz, who ultimately backed Trump, was there visiting with President-elect Donald Trump to help him achieve his goal: to “drain the swamp...”

Oh God yes, he would want media attention so he would set himself up as the swing vote, or poison good decisions due to his “conscience.”
Maybe he will put Cruz on the Supreme Court. Maybe in time I’ll appreciate the move.
I don’t want him there. I see Ted as a narrow-minded back stabbing nation betraying nincompoop.
If this last election cycle wasn’t important enough for him to put personal thoughts aside and oppose Hillary Clinton stridently, what election cycle would be? Look at all we know about her, and Ted couldn’t find it in his soul to oppose her and back Trump.
And you know what folks, one hour on the phones and a few events with Pence, one of which he refused to even say the name Trump, does not support make.
If that doesn’t tell us all we need to know about Ted’s dedication to this nation, I don’t know what would.
Then there’s this. Ted said as long as we had a Republican in the White House, that’s what mattered to him.
Ted, John McCain is a Republican. That would have been alright with you?
Mitt Romney is a Republican. That would have been alright with you.
Jeb Bush is a Republican. John Kasich is a Republican. Marco Rubio is a Republican.
The best you could do is say, “As long as we have a Republican in there?” That’s the whole ball of wax for the GOPe. That’s all they every wanted, just a Republican.
The last thing they wanted was a firebrand like Trump, and by your actions you proved you agreed with them.

I said something against Ted and that’s more than some folks can take.
Ted is not who they thought he was, and some folks just cannot accept that.

Ted Cruz would make a great SCOTUS pick. He’s a rock-bed conservative in the mold of Scalia, who will not abandon his conservative core like some guy named Roberts.
Plus, just the sideshow from the left collectively losing what’s left of their tiny pea brains would be worth it.

I won’t vote for him again. Just won’t do it. Why reward a liar? Hopefully President Trump will nominate him for SC so we can all sit back and watch him get skewered like he would have if he’d won the primary. I think Ted embarassed himself in how he broke protocol in picking a running mate while the race was still on and he was far back behind the party’s frontrunner in the delegates race.
He has the voice and persona and temperament of someone who should be heard FROM, not seen. On that respect, He is perfect for SCOTUS.
But he has a few things in his recent past that still puts his judgement and agenda in question. I wonder what he says about that violence at Trump rallies that he blamed on Trump now that we know Hillary was paying them to "protest"
