“U.S. EPA employees were in tears,” the article stated. “Worried Energy Department staffers were offered counseling.

“Some federal employees were so depressed, they took time off,” it stated. “Others might retire early.

“And some employees are in downright panic mode in the aftermath of Donald Trump's victory,” the article said. …

A friend over there used to call his job “welfare with dignity”. About right I think.

Good. I’m glad they are in tears.

It’s going to be a very tough job to reform that agency. It’s my understanding that many employees sought EPA employment for the same reason people seek journalism jobs.

That being they are die hard leftists that want to make a difference. Things like global warming and hatred for America is simply bred right into them, it’s their basic instinct.

Trump may try to refocus the EPA back to what it should be with new internal leadership, but the employees will fight it tooth and nail. IMO, the only way to deal with it is to just eliminate the whole agency.

The darker side of me would like to see a Stalinist type solution employed. Starting with the EPA jerks first hearing footsteps coming up the stairs. Then wondering whose door they will knock on. Then the absolute fear of the knock being on their door. And being man handled into a truck filled with other EPA employees, driven off never to be seen again.

Good. They need to go and get real jobs instead of killing jobs for so many others.

Wouldn't it be great if some of them had to go to work in the coal mines?

The main mission of the EPA is to screw people over. They are anti-American. They should all be fired and be banned from gov’t employment for life.

I could not agree more.

I know an EPA employee. I went to school with him (Jr High, and High School). He was borderline insane then. A few years ago he called me out of the blue. Don't know how he got my number -- I haven't had any contact with him since the early 70's. He called to complain about a mutual friend who had become a "conservative Christian". I also told him I was delighted with the news. I told him I was a gun owner, life time NRA member and a radical 2nd Amendment supporter. That shook him up.

Christianity, gun-rights... are anathema to these abusers. Investigate their many crimes and lock them up.

“Another EPA staffer said, “I don’t actually know anybody here that was supporting Trump.” “

Drain the swamp!!!!! Don’t leave a critical mass of traitors in there to undermine the administration!

“”We have been through Reagan, got through [George W. Bush],” an unnamed career EPA employee said. “We will get through this.””

Get these people out of there! They will be dragging their heels, not moving full steam ahead to implement Trump’s policies. They will be blockers.

Not all gov’t workers fit this mold, though at EPA more so than other depts. There is a certain personality that gravitates to gov’t work due to being in a position to lord t over their co-citizens.

Even worse, the DOE pre-existed in disparate forms, such as the FEA, ERDA, FPC and so on; so this was a case of many dictators submitting to one.

And of course, let’s not forget Wen Ho Lee.

Clearly they should all resign and seek employment in the private sector.

There was a story about a guy at Crane Naval Base in Indiana where all he did for 10 years was come to work, check out a truck, drive around town for 8 hours, then check it back in at the end of the day.

Out of curiosity, what was his job title?

They’d be better off consulting their retirement planning professional.
