Comedian Wanda Sykes confronted a Boston audience Saturday night after she was booed for making disparaging comments about President-elect Donald Trump at a charity stand-up comedy event. The 52-year-old comedian and actress was about five minutes into her set at the Cam Neely Foundations 22nd annual Comics Come Home fundraiser at the TD Garden when she was loudly booed for attacking Trump.
"Its goiing to be okay, Sykes had said. I am certain this is not the first time weve elected a racist, sexist, homophobic president. He aint the first one. Hes just the first confirmed one.
When the comment caused many in the audience to jeer, Sykes appeared to shout expletives at some individuals in the audience and later flipped them the middle finger.
The evidence is there, she added as the crowd began to boo. How could you say hes not racist? Grab them by the p***y? How could you say hes not sexist?
Sykes reportedly stayed onstage to finish her performance despite the booing, according to the Boston Herald. The paper reported that comedian Nick DiPaolo was also booed over political material in his set.
The annual Comics Come Home fundraiser features local Boston-area comics and is held to raise money for adult and child cancer patients and their families.
Sykes is not the only comedian to have been roundly booed for making comments critical of Trump; in October, hundreds of audience members reportedly stood up and walked out of an Amy Schumer concert when the comedian bashed Trump, calling him an orange, sexual-assaulting monster.
Schumer later read an open letter to those Trump-supporting fans in which she vowed she would attend rehab to learn how to make all people happy.

Boston? Really???? I’m impressed!
Cam Neely. A very good hockey player, and by all accounts a good guy.
So sad that Sykes chose to ruin his attempt to help others in need.
Well they say Trump is an entertainer. Obviously he doesn’t have to even be present anymore. Are we getting our money’s worth yet? ...lol
Well that should ensure her some more gigs.
Unfunny black female comic that was told she is
I watched this on YouTube. If she had left out the profanity, her little chat with the audience would have lasted about 30 seconds instead of 8 minutes. What a poor excuse for a comedienne/entertainer.
Ever since Lucille Ball passed away and Carol Burnett pretty much retired, the phrase “female comedian “ has become an oxymoron.
I read she wasn’t really booed off the stage. She stuck it out until the end of her routine. Still it was pretty funny.
The only time Sykes was ever funny was in her early days on BET.
Why do women fake orgasms? It’s called... time management.
OK, now that’s funny. Especially the way she told it....
he’s trying hard to make it happen, you know it’s not gonna happen, you catch a glimpse at the clock, its 1:30 am, you have to get up at 6:30.... OhHhhhhhhhh!!!
Since this was a charity event, I would imagine there were a number of philanthropic Republicans in the audience, along with Independents and some Democrats sick of the months of attacks and counter-attacks.
No surprise she was booed. These crazy libs just cannot let it go.
More WINNING already! I can’t stand all the WINNING! LOL!
Same here.
And Sykes is a typically classless leftist.
Re “ Post #5 ~
Her ‘wife’ looks suspiciously like a man - not that there is anything wrong with that, WE VALUE DIVERSITY! HA!
Sounds like Biggie Shorty lost her mojo. There was a time I found Wanda Sykes to be funny. Not so much since she came out as a lesbian. I saw her at a comedy club about 6 or 7 years ago and wasn’t impressed. A few chuckles, a few groans, no real laughs.
[(then flips off crowd)]
Classy. Well, who is surprised by the actions of this liberal beast?
Excellent
