Cut off ALL federal money going to sanctuary cities. Surround them with federal troops, and require anyone entering or exiting to have a valid passport to pass, just like an international border crossing.
Funny here I’ve always thought we were a nation of laws. So I guess I can walk around NY City carrying a firearm and not be arrested. It is my world view that everyone has the right to be able to protect themselves in the most direct and effective manner possible.

Exactly. Congress should pass a law making it a Federal crime for any public official to provide sanctuary or any aid whatsoever to illegal aliens. Send in the Federal marshals to frog-march those bastards right out of their offices.
Let's see how many landlords continue to support the "sanctuary" concept when there's no Section 8 housing money to subsidize their illegals.
If you make them criminally and personably liable for the crimes committed by illegal aliens that are on the public dole, let go after arrest, etc, that would probably help too.

I would go a few steps further and state that it applies to anyone or organization providing aid in any form.
