Trump-backing congressman says GOP will use budget 'reconciliation' to repeal Obamacare in first 100 days depriving Democrats of the chance to filibuster it
* Rep. Chris Collins, the first Republican to endorse President-elect Trump, says the GOP will move legislation to repeal Obamacare within Trump's first 100 days
* Party would use budget procedure that would let them jam it through on a simple majority vote, depriving Senate Democrats of the filibuster
* Medical device tax, 30-hour workweek for coverage, employer mandate, employee mandate all could go, gutting the plan
* Says there would be a 'transition' for 2017
The Republican push to repeal Obamacare is going on a fast track under a procedure that would make minority Democrats powerless to stop it, the first Republican congressman to endorse President-elect Donald Trump said Friday.
Republicans who now have unified control of Congress plan to move to repeal Obamacare during the first 100 days of the incoming Trump administration, said Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY).
They would do this under a budget procedure called 'reconciliation,' which requires a simple majority vote to approve tax and spending changes.

Consider whats at stake.
Bttt!
And it’s all possible!!
Don’t trust him! He proved his worth already. No more sell outs!
Actually, I liked that part. Most young adults are healthy yet don’t get insurance. I’m happy to carry my son so I know he has it. I’m paying for him to be on my policy.
Sounds right to me. The dems will find out what their ridiculous useage of reconciliation produces

An Ambitious list....

and Beautiful.
The list is growing with help from FRiends, I like the last one - so easy - so important.
Prayer in School and at Sporting Events
NO Federal Dollars for sanctuary cities including LA and NYC
Letter from the President for Eagle Scouts reinstated retroactively
Keep in mind 2 things that will give Trump the Trump card:
1. On March 15th the Debt Ceiling comes back and it will effectively shut off all deficit spending unless both houses of Congress and the new President agree to some new law.
2. The ObamaCare law did not originate in the House of Representatives. It specifically does not give the IRS the authority to collect or prosecute anyone on the penalties for ObamaCare. I believe that there have been three types of people who have been paying the ObamaCare fines - (a) those getting the subsidies as they signed away their rights to not pay the fine, (b) those who pay more in estimated taxes and witholdings than they actually owe so the IRS deducts this from their return, (c) those who voluntarily decide to fill out the IRS form and send in the extra money for the penalty.
Now there is a way that the IRS could start collecting the ObamaCare penalty from those who don’t have sufficient withholdings and estimated taxes. It would be to get a new law passed that starts as a Bill originating in the House of Representatives. And even then they’d have to do it within 3 years of the due date for tax filings. So keep that in mind as you shriek with terror from this day forward on whether or not you should worry about the IRS enforcing the “individual mandate” in case you find a more affordable alternative to getting an “Affordable Care Act” health insurance policy ;)
Anyone doubt that ObamaCare really is dead?
Please do not forget that the Debt Ceiling is back on March 15th. What we need before then is for President Trump to stand firm on first draining the swamp.
And severe criminal penalties for ANY local, County, or State official / law enforcement agency that denies a Citizen his/her Right to Carry, or in any way impedes it.
It's already on the books in Criminal Code: Using color of law to deny a Citizen Constitutional rights. Also Conspiracy to deny Constitutional rights.
No "May issue", no "need to justify", none of that Bullsh*t. *(Are you listening, New Jersey...?)
And this isn't about the government "giving" away anything. It's about the Government doing its job and RECOGNIZING a Citizen's most basic Constitutional, Civil, and Human Right to protect themselves in or out of the home.
Especially now, with the leftardniki freakshow kicking into high gear.
Hey! They did it to pass the GD thing!
Haha...tot for tat...since they pretended to originate obamacarw un the house and used reconciliation to ram it through...this is sweet sweet sweet revenge
