Republicans had excellent results in Tuesdays high-stakes Senate races, winning numerous tough battles to preserve their majority in the chamber for the next two years.
But Tuesdays results revealed an interesting dynamic: The Republican Senate candidates who rejected President-elect Donald Trump and tried to go it alone were the only ones who ended up losing their races.
Overall, there were eight Republican-held seats and one Democrat-held seat that were competitive going into Tuesday night: Illinois, Wisconsin, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Florida, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Missouri.
Of the nine Republicans in these competitive races, six of them stood by Trump or, in the case of Pennsylvanias Pat Toomey, didnt reject him. Three of them, though, explicitly rejected Trump: Kelly Ayotte in New Hampshire, Mark Kirk in Illinois, and Joe Heck in Nevada.

Democrats demanded that Republicans “denounce Trump.”
The gutless, clueless crowd rushed forward to do that, “virtue signaling” how much smarter and moral they were.
Some advice for Republicans: Don’t take advice from Democrats.
STUPID BETA MALES and FEMALES.......so afraid of an ALPHA MALE like TRUMP!! They got what they deserve.
I retired in Nevada where my vote would count more. This is what I get. Heck got what he deserved. I guess a rino like Sandoval who eats tacos is the best we can do.
First casualties of the GOPe.
Sharron Angle was a better nominee than Heck!
Will the GOP-e see and understand this? Probably not.
Leaving Paul Ryan as Speaker would indicate that they don’t get it.
NV and CO are moving into permanent CA-OR-WA status, I am afraid. And AZ will be very competitive henceforth.
Heck, even Texas was closer than I expected, Dallas and Houston are permanently Blue, I’m afraid.
The Nevada senatorial candidate who dumped Trump was so stupid.
He was new, running for Harry Reid’s seat, and it is obvious that he had no senatorial record to run on (and that didn’t even help Ayotte in NH), so he was attached to Trump thick or thin.
His stupidity hurt Trump, but then when Trump support lessened and Clinton support increased, who did he think those Clinton supporters were going to vote for?
So stupid.
Ryan came around enough on Trump, that he may have saved his skin.
Too bad we love the area so much around Reno. Too bad too many libs have infiltrated the area. At least county wide, the anti gun bill failed. Even sadder is that the assclowns in vegas fooled enough ignos to win the initiative by about 10,000 votes.
I was watching that too and it spooked the crap out of me.
They forgot this loser
Just hours after saying he was still praying over his support of Donald Trump, Darryl Glenn has released a new statement asking the Republican candidate for president to withdraw from the race.
As a father, as a Christian and as a Republican, I believe that we simply cannot tolerate a nominee who speaks this way about women, he said, also denouncing Hillary Clinton.
CO and NV will be winnable, and AZ safe for the foreseeable future, one Trump locks up the border and deports illegals.
They did not choose wisely and almost helped the Rats takeover the Senate. Screw em...

I’m sure that even The Father of the Year has used the word Pussy sometime in their Lives.
Wait, wasn’t Edwards voted Father of the Year way back when?
John Edwards, oops.
