US Senator Kelly Ayotte conceded to her Democratic challenger on Wednesday, making her the third Republican to lose a Senate race in a battleground state after refusing to endorse Donald Trump.
Ayotte's defeat to Governor Maggie Hassan in New Hampshire means another pick-up for the Democrats in the battle for control of the Senate.

Kirk was actually the only semi-redeemable one of them. With his actual strategy on Syrians, terrorism and talking about his stroke recovery.
Heck & Ayotte were terrible relative to the tilt of their state.
Heck spent 12 months in 2013 trying to underhandedly push an amnesty bill.
Way worse than McCain whose just crazy and doesn't have another 10 or 20 years like Bob Corker or Roger Wicker.

If it’s a 50-50 tie we’re screwed. The Senate convenes on Jan 5th and Obama can rush through SCOTUS picks with Biden being the tie-breaker.

They should have jumped on the Trump train.

Kelly Ayotte always bothered me in the same way that Jeff Flake and Ben Sasse do. For all three of them, their abandonment of the principles they campaigned on was so quick and so complete that one can only conclude that their campaign rhetoric was bare-faced lies. With Ayotte, one has to assume that her treachery cost Trump at least the number of votes he would've needed to win NH. She not only did this to herself, she put the nation at risk with her total lack of integrity.

Cheap Labor Express stooges, will not be missed.
Many more that need to be weeded out. Murkowsky, Heller, Hoeven, Alexander, Corker, Hatch, Rubio, McCain, Graham, Flake all voted for the Gang of Eight bill.

They were all anti-Trump.

No, it won’t be 50/50. The GOP will have 51 sitting senators for the next senate class (and once Pense is sworn in as VP, he in effect would be the 52nd GOP senator, if needed to break a tie).

Republicans who unendorsed Trump lost - Ayotte, Kirk and Heck.
Good riddance to back-stabbing RINOs.

I think it’s 52. We had two losses of incumbents and had 54 going in I think.

They can't rush through squat after the results of this election.
Republicans simply drag feet, and then he is outa there.
Even XO's will be short lived.

You might not be counting Louisiana, which is going into a run-off, but where the Republican will win, cementing 52.

What this means is that Trump owns the Senate. He fought against the notion we need to throw the bums out on the grounds that he needed a majority to effect his program. Otherwise, I think the Dems would have the Senate now after this backstabbing traitors from GOPe got stabbed in the back by the voters. They need to tread carefully.

Wondering who the third leg of the McNuts/Grahamnesty/? will be now?
Like you said, good riddance!

Kirk was actually the only semi-redeemable one of them. With his actual strategy on Syrians, terrorism and talking about his stroke recovery. Kirk went full lib after attacking Trump, endorsed "common sense" gun laws. Screw him.

And if they’re anti-Trump, we’re better without them.
Tammy Duckworth will be no different than Kirk on military and veterans issues and he was squishy on everything else anyway.

Better to face a sworn enemy than have a back stabber do you in from behind or even while facing you.
