It took nearly 16 hours to determine but Michigan is officially with Donald Trump.
Trump has won a hard fought battle for Michigans 16 electoral votes.
Just after 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson released the final popular vote totals.
In the presidential race Donald Trump received 2,277,586 votes to Hillary Clintons 2,264,361.
Trump recorded a razor-thin margin in the 83 county total: 47.60 percent to Clintons 47.33 percent.
Its a key win that few saw coming in Trumps quest for the 270 votes that could make him the next president of the United States.

Difference in votes is greater than what would trigger a recount.
Interesting question. Off-hand I would say “no”. The only reference to elections in the constitution is in
Article I
Section. 4.
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
Is an Id requiment under “...manner of holding Elections...” and of the “regulations” it can establish or alter?
Seems so but no idea what the Court would say
When federal funds are withheld there is some connection between the object being extorted and the source of the funds. Example- withholding highway funds until lower speed limits are required. There is a connection. Federal funds for elections are small so there would be no real impact.
Obscure Michael Keaton reference. Nice.
“I was more surprised by the Pennsylvania result. Philadelphia corruption makes Detroits version look like a Baptist church picnic”
Thank God he overcame these overwhelming odds...
That one was a surprise to me, too!
Thank you, Michigan folk!
Over 300 EV is just MASSIVE for Trump. Smashes any projections. LOL
And just like with their football team, ILLINOIS is a complete disaster.
I don’t know if anyone is interested in Ted Nugent’s reaction to the win, but here it is:

I loved it, and I think you will, too. All 12 minutes of it.
That’s what we were thinking too. We were expecting some surprise ballots showing up. Only reason we would stay up till 3 am. As one freeper put it, afraid to go to bed and wake up to a Hillary win.

A 1:00 am visit to MI definately helped. Possibly the game changes there. U have to think if no MI win HRC team might have weighted a challenge on PA a little higher last night. But back-of-the-car discovered ballot boxes is tough to sell when U have to claim they found 1 in each of the WI MI PA states
Wonder why in the heck MI and AZ haven’t been called for DJT?
Maybe CNN is coming around.
Looks like he took Maines 2nd District as well so that’s an EV
306 or 310 with NH. How do you arrive at 307?
