The winner of the U.S. presidential election will be determined by about 17 swing counties, with a total of about 500,000 swing voters between them. The American public has heard that 12 swing states will determine who will be the next president. But a book, Presidential Swing States: Why Only Ten Matter, by Hamline University Professor David Schultz, who also edits the Journal of Public Affairs Education, predicts a very small number of Americas 3,142 counties and county equivalents will tip the balance.
In Ohio, its Hamilton County, home to Cincinnati;
In Pennsylvania, the key counties are Bucks and Chester Counties, to the north and south of Philadelphia; along with Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties, straddling Scranton and Wilkes Barre in its western interior;
In Florida, its Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, surrounding Tampa and St. Petersburg;
In Wisconsin, the keys are Brown County and Winnebago County near Green Bay; plus Racine County to the south near Chicago suburbs;
In Iowa, its rural tiny Bremer County;
In New Hampshire, its inland Hillsborough Township, on the Massachusetts border;
In Nevada it is Clark County, home of Las Vegas;
In Virginia, its Prince William County, outside Washington D.C.;
In North Carolina, its Wake County, which encompasses Raleigh and Durham;
In New Mexico, its Bernalillo County, along with Albuquerque and Dona Ana County near Las Cruces.

Two Points:
1) poll monitors should be extra vigilant in not just those 17 counties but all counties that are similar and fit the professors description.
2) poll monitors should also follow vote tallies with paper ballots and follow ballots or memory cards to county election centers and ensure counts are true BEFORE uploading to GEMS.
Going to monitor the polls with my mop. On the lookout for illegals
“In Florida, its Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties, surrounding Tampa and St. Petersburg;”
I don’t know how they get that. Those two counties are not even the largest counties in Florida.
If every state’s electoral votes were split as they are in Maine, would this be a benefit to republicans?
My son and I will be observing polls in Hamilton County, OH. We appear to be the only ones scheduled for out particular location. Think we’ll drive my old truck, though maybe I better add comprehensive insurance first.
I’m already registered to vote in all of those counties.
Wow... funny how all those counties are ones the DOJ is dispathing their “monitors” to....

Eh, comprehensive never a bad thing on election day...
I think it was 4 years ago (could have been another election) that I read a detailed article after that election how certain counties successfully swayed the election...how very few counties decided.
Been looking for it but can’t find it.
Pinellas county, here. We are the most population dense area that is not solidly blue or red.
Prince William County. That’s where all the bureaucrats live.
The group of counties determined who won the election in 2012 by giving 2,485,793 votes to Barack Obama, compared to 2,106,985 votes for Mitt Romney. That means that just 189,404 voters in a nation of 319 million people determined the winner in 2012.
Schultz says the counties all sit between reliable Republican red and Democrat blue voter strongholds. The voters in these counties are suburban and experiencing major demographic shifts, including young and better-educated people moving in; and some are quite racially diverse.
Schultz says, What we are seeing in these counties, at least right now, is relatively balanced, in terms of Republicans and Democrats. But he adds, We have a small portion of the population of these counties that are going to be the swing voter
Maybe that’s the logic. But I am not sure that it really follows. The fact that Miami usually votes Dem doesn’t mean that it won’t decide the election. If the voters don’t vote for Hillary, or don’t vote, then it may decide the election.

Ivanka Trump is in Prince William County GOTV today.
Democrats will read this and start registering new Democrat voters in those counties or even having Democrats move into those counties.
Republicans (the stupid party) will read this and say “how can we move to the left to attract the Democrats that already live there?”

I moved from Cincinnati (Hamilton County) to Raleigh (Wake County) this past Summer. Nice to know my vote still counts.

Given the video of dear leader encouraging illegal voting, good idea!

I noticed that too.
