Donald Trump has moved into the lead over Hillary Clinton, 44% to 43% with two days left before Election Day, according to the latest IBD/TIPP presidential tracking poll. And the number of states in play is expanding.
The GOP and Democratic nominees had been tied for the prior four days. Libertarian Party pick Gary Johnson is at 5% while the Green Party's Jill Stein is at 2%.

Was D+5 or 6 in 2012. D+7 in 2008. 2004 was R+1. 2000 was +D3. The rational, I’m guessing, is probably that it is pretty close to the average of the last 6 elections.
Good morning, Ravi.
Thanks for sharing the link to your excellent information.
Local radio host here in upstate SC, pro-Trump all the way, will be broadcasting from restaurant a stone’s throw from my office. Thinking about stopping by there for awhile before heading home. Should be quite the lively atmosphere.
I want to experience what it’s like to win under the command of President Donald Trump.
I’m sick and thoroughly disgusted in how we have become so disrespected around the world.
IMO, Fox News is hardly any better than CNN or MSNBC at this point. I only watch FBN, especially Lou Dobbs and Stuart Varney.
Would be great to have access to OANN on my Directv.
Perhaps, Ivanka, Don, Jr. and Eric can launch Trump News Network to cover their father’s presidency and offer us a legitimate honest source of news.
Like, are the votes already tallied and posted for the public to see? Give me a break!
There are more registered Democrats in Nevada than registered Republicans. So it stands to reason that Democrats will "lead" in the early voting, as they are more heavily represented. Until the votes are counted, we will not know how many of those Democrats crossed over to Trump. The assumption FoxNews appears to be making, that every single (or even 90%) one of those Democrats voted for Crooked Hillary is very likely a false one.
Democrats voting for Trump are very unlikely to change their registration to Republican. We will see this across the nation as well, especially in the Rust Belt, where Trump will do very well among blue-collar men who are registered as Democrats. But when they go to the polls, they will be seen as Democrats. I don't see many Trump voters switching from Democrat to Repubican. Why would they, given the state of the Republican party overall?
As well, there are a substantial amount of Independents in Nevada.
In Nevada, there are approx. 570K registered Democrats, 490K registered Republicans and 310K Independents.
If there is a 60-40 split among Independents in favor of Trump, it becomes a very close race and if enough Democrats cross over to Trump, he can win. If it's a 70-30 split in favor of Trump, which some are predicting, then we likely have a Trump win in spite of the Dem/Rep gap. This appears to be what the polls are picking up on and why Trump has made recent visits to the state.
Thanks!
Trump is going to be in Leesburg, VA at the end of the day today. That shows his campaign thinks VA is in play.
At this point, these polls are going to start to reflect who the pollsters think is going to win. The pollsters will live or die by getting their poll into the correct win column. In 2012, polls were off 2.6 points on average in the RCP average, which is actually pretty gross given the reduced margin of error of combining all the polls for the average. But people say “the polls had it right” because they showed an Obama win. By the actual numbers, they were actually pretty flawed. But predicting the winner becomes the marquee result. Trump is now the expected winner amongst pollsters. Most have been hovering around the tied zone. In the next couple days almost all will tilt to get into the Trump column.
If AA turnout is down 25-30%, and it might, he certainly has a chance in VA.
I wish I could join you. :)
GA is not a tossup state. I voted last Saturday in a predominantly black neighborhood near downtown Atlanta. Very quiet. I only had to wait 2 minutes to vote.
In 2008 I voted at the courthouse in downtown Atlanta. Hours had to be extended to accommodate the crowds. When I got there the line was out the door and around the block. It took forever to vote.
“This is supposed to make you fear the KKK and want to vote for Hillary.
How long has it been since the KKK was any kind of force in American politics or elections? Hundred years? Ever? But every election it is trotted out like it brand new and bubbling under the surface, waiting to erupt.

Thank you for the reminder. My wife and I have talked about this. I will definitely be fasting starting today. It’s tempting to hang around online to see what’s going on and see what the mood is, but I need to get online with God and humbly ask His mercy on this country.
More fodder for those on FreeRepublic who believe in polls. WHAT’S TRUE: Ronald Reagan won the 1980 general election in a landslide despite trailing as much as 8% behind Jimmy Carter in some mid-October polls.
WHAT’S FALSE: Reagan wasn’t trailing Carter in all polls, and significant events in the final weeks of the 1980 campaign helped to swing public opinion in Reagan’s favor. SHEESH
“are they going to put out a poll on Tuesday?”
Yes, and THAT poll will be the only one that matters! We all have the opportunity to participate and make sure TRUMP is elected!!! :)
