Depending on whom you believe, analysis of early voting is either a good or bad way to tell who is likely to prevail on Tuesday. There are some cases when it seems pretty clearly predictive, such as in Nevada, where Democrats have built up a big lead thanks to strong support from Hispanic voters. In other cases, it's not immediately clear what the data show.

One thing that we can tell from the Catalist data is the shift in black participation in early voting. In Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio, blacks make up a much smaller percentage of the early vote than they did four years ago. In Ohio and North Carolina, that shift is due in part to changes in early voting laws...

The flip side of that decrease among black voters in North Carolina and Georgia is a big increase in the density of the white vote. In Wisconsin, as well, more of the early vote electorate is white than in 2012. That suggests an advantage for Republican ...

When WashPost concedes electorate isn’t D +7, its over.
Must have been a painful admission for them to make.
Wow from the Post?
End early voting. Give folks the day off to go & vote.
The Nevada thing is a steaming pile of crap, something Clinton supporters are clinging to for hope because she’s loses all the polls there now.

But, the graph doesn't address enough states.
Nice graphic.
This must have torn those idiots at WaPo apart.
Can’t sleep. Probably the election.
This means many states that are usually blue could be red this time. Gonna be an exciting Tuesday night.
You may have already read it, but Bill Mitchell devoted dozens of tweets to debunking the Hillary-advantage-in-NV idea. He did a stellar job.

I went to Trump rally in Waterbury CT, many months ago. it was fantastic, but I mention here again because I was sitting with a group of registered Dems, and I just remember them telling all of us, they will never vote Hillary and can’t wait to vote Trump! So all these Dems have more votes cast numbers, for first time ever I feel confident that a lot of it is for Trump! There is a huge hatred for “that woman” so when I can’t sleep, I just keep thinking of them and pray there are many just like them!
These people at organizations like the WP still, after a zillion Trump rallies, do NOT get his broad appeal and the diversity of his crowds. Trump smashes their old models.
The early voting never, ever remember the indies.
The may not know if unaffiliated registration isn’t recognized by the state.
Oh, they probably get it, but they are liars.
"The most dishonest people on the planet."
So it’s either good for Hillary or it’s “unclear.”
Typical propaganda technique.
Especially from Philip Bump, who the Daily Caller described as an ‘ultra-liberal former union bully’.
“such as in Nevada, where Democrats have built up a big lead thanks to strong support from Hispanic voters.”
Exactly how would they know that unless they’re opening ballots early?
